I came to GCM knowing that I wanted to do
something hands-on that would use my outsidethe-box
thinking. From the start I enjoyed all
my courses, but it was my first packaging class
that made it clear what I really wanted to do. If
you had told me in high school that I would find
my passion in packaging, I would have difficulty
believing that. Now thanks to my professors, my
classes and the education provided by GCM, I
know what truly interests me and what I want to
spend my career doing. In the field of packaging
I have found work that is engaging, practical,
creative and rewarding.
One of my goals for my time at GCM was to find
ways to fully engage myself in the program, not
only within the classroom, but also in extracurricular
opportunities. Toward this end, I
am proud of my role in the production of the
Grad Book. As the Co-Project Manager and
Co-Production Lead, I have been responsible for
leading meetings, ensuring that all deadlines
are adhered to, and working closely with other
team members. This role has been a good
experience for preparing me for the kind of team
work and responsibility that will be required in
any kind of job setting.
