Describe the moment
you realized “what
you wanted to do
when you grew up.”
What motivated you?
I believe finding what you want to do occurs at
various times in your life, and not in a specific
moment. There are many things you discover
you want to do, and those wants will evolve over
time. If I had to pick one specific moment when I
decided to follow what I wanted to do, it would be
when a friend of mine, who I look up to, advised
me to follow what fulfills me. Before that, I
mainly listened to what people wanted me to
do and forgot to assess how I felt about it. After
talking to my friend, I began to step out of my
comfort zone, and that lead me to discovering
things I want to do.

If you could change
one thing about
yourself, what would
it be and why?

If I could change one thing about myself, it
would be to gain more confidence in myself. I
want to be able to think more positively instead
of thinking, “This person, or these people, is/
are not going to like me and my work.” I tend
to gravitate towards thinking negatively, and
I do not want to keep that mindset. Over time,
my lack of confidence has improved through
the work experience I have been fortunate to
have. However, there is still plenty of room for
improvement, and I am always willing to work
towards becoming a better me.
