Explain how you
have changed
since your first
year at Ryerson.
GCM has helped to develop my skills in all
areas of the print industry. I have shifted my
interest from graphic design, which I was most
interested in during my first year, to publishing
and layout, as well as signage in my final year.
Besides shifting interests, I also developed
a new interest in areas such as wide-format
printing, 3D printing, scheduling and project
management. All projects assigned in GCM
have put my skills to the test and allowed me
to grow and change during my four years at
Ryerson University.
PUBLISHING
What is your plan
after graduation?
JP
After graduation, I plan to gain experience in
the industry. There are many fields I would be
interested in and open to exploring. Further
exploring my interests would let me gain
more knowledge and become a valuable asset
to a company, allowing me to take what I am
passionate about and turn it into a career.
Typically I stay at my place of work for long
periods of time so my goal is to work in a
company where I can take on responsibility and
grow over time.
