Explain how you
have changed
since your first
year at Ryerson.
What is your plan
after graduation?
N
Since my first year at Ryerson, I have changed
exponentially. I grew up in a very small town, so
making a move to ‘the big city’ was very different
for me. It was difficult at first, not having family
or friends around, however, once I adjusted and
found the confidence and self-awareness that I
needed to be here it became a city that I loved.
Although I still prefer my small town, I will
always love this city and the experiences it has
to offer. Never would I have thought that I was
going to grow up to be a city girl.
I hope to be able to travel the world, exposing
and immersing myself to the different
cultures and traditions. This is something I
have wanted to experience from a very young
age. Doing so would give me the experience
and understanding of different cultures and
traditions, thus allowing me to have a deeper
knowledge and understanding of the world
we live in and the people we work with. I
believe having this experience will open more
opportunities for my career in the future.
