What is the most
important thing
you learned from
your internship/
international
exchange?
The most important thing that I learned
from my internship was the importance of
networking, and creating and maintaining
relationships within the workplace. My
co-workers from internship to this day keep
in touch with me and even inform me of
opportunities within the working field. In
addition, they have all made for excellent
references and connections over LinkedIn.
Those relationships have opened me up to so
many more opportunities that would have not
been possible without networking. Overall,
I learned it is important to make large and
positive impressions in the workplace.
What are
your greatest
achievements/
accomplishments
at GCM?
M
My greatest achievement at GCM was during
GCM360: Colour Management. We had to
create personalized variable data mailers
to companies that would potentially want to
attend our open house event. After a few days,
I received a response from The Printing House
over LinkedIn informing me that they were very
impressed by the initiative taken to reach out to
them. They extended an offer to interview me for
the position of Business Development Associate
and within a few days, I secured the internship!
