What is the most
important thing
you learned from
your internship/
international
exchange?
For my internship, I worked as a production
artist in the packaging department at TC
Transcontinental. I learned the importance of
providing what the customer has asked for, and
the vision for the end result. The complexity of
each brand’s design can be tough to navigate in
terms of how large each component can be, what
logos are needed for each job, and how much
text the customer wants on each SKU. This
job required me to be very detailed-oriented,
ensuring I never missed any word or aspect of
the design, as well as work efficiently on a job to
allow me to meet every deadline.
PACKAGING
What is your plan
after graduation?
K
My goal after graduation is to continue to work
in the packaging industry. My passion lies with
designing packaging for large companies but
I would also love the opportunity to be able to
design my own packages one day. I am a very
creative individual and I love working with
people so I believe that I would be a perfect fit
in designing a line of packaging for a client.
However, I am open to working in all aspects of
the packaging industry so that I can further my
portfolio of expertise.
