Meet Dawn Carrington
across a health food shop that also had a
refill service for certain products. My concept
for an online business that offers zero waste
products and a personal delivery service for
the local community was born.
“Hi, my name is Dawn and I’d like to
introduce you to Bury Wholefoods.
Based in Bury St Edmunds, Bury Wholefoods
brings sustainable whole foods, eco friendly
household products and hair and body care
products straight to your door.
It all started back when I was a dancer. I led
a strict lifestyle, knowing that to grow in
my field of work I needed to be responsible
for leading a healthy, active lifestyle. After
a successful career it was time to make the
brave decision to stop. Injuries from pushing
myself to the extremes were becoming all too
apparent. In addition, I also developed IBS.
Having struggled with IBS for years I
discovered a change in food and lifestyle
sorted out my issues however I realised
that although I was caring for myself, the
environment around me was still suffering.
Whilst on a break in Cornwall I stumbled

and eco-friendly household products on your

My goal is to encourage the local community
to be involved in a circular economy rather
than the linear one we are living in. By
reducing the number of disposable products
that we consume and maximising the way we
reuse, recycle and compost, we can fight to
reach total zero waste.

St Edmunds market on the first Saturday of
