SPRING IS ON ITS WAY...
Bored of the same old dog walks
around East Anglia?...
Me too! So this month I have come up with my top
doggy places to visit with your four legged friend!
Who doesn’t love a good walk?
Thetford Forest
The walks all start at High Lodge varying from pine
trees to heathland. On return there’s taps and dog
bowls to provide fresh water for your weary pooch.
Walberswick
If you’re a fan of sandy beaches and crabbing
this is the walk for you. The best news is that on
Walberswick beach, dogs are permitted all year
round.
Rendlesham Forest
Just a short distance outside Woodbridge,
probably the most dog friendly town in the region,
Rendlesham has a variety of walking trails.
Lavenham
Start from the church, head towards Portland
Lane, turning left at Park Road. Pick up the lane
where the walk begins following the stunning
disused Lavenham to Long Melford railway line.
Southwold
My favourite place to play off season, with plenty
of dog friendly shops! But from 1st April to 30th
September we are banned from the beach! Uff!
Dunwich
The best of both all year walking on the shingle
beach and then into the forests! Stop at Dingle Hill
tea rooms for a pit stop! Also dog friendly!
can also keep up to date with my antics on Twitter
Dedham
Away from the popular tourist destination of the
Mill, amble around the Essex Way walk which
through picturesque fields of Dedham Vale and
the Stour Valley.
