Dear Ambassadair Guests,
Since our founding, we have placed our guests at the forefront of
our business model. We design each trip with you in mind. We pride
ourselves on offering our guests memorable travel experiences with the
opportunity to create long-lasting friendships.
The biggest perk of my job is listening to incredible stories about our
guests’ experiences on our trips. I am in awe of the amazing travel stories
that our guests share with us! The memories and friendships you make
while traveling the world are invaluable. I consider myself extremely
lucky to play a part in sharing the world with you.
Having worked in the travel industry for many years, I have had the gift
of exploring the globe. Some of my fondest memories were created
during these travels. I will never forget experiencing the native culture
of Germany with my parents Othmar and Libby for the first time. In
addition, I had the opportunity to share my background and passion for
Alaska with each of my children. I will always remember their excitement
to watch the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. However, perhaps my favorite
memory was watching my children’s faces light up when they witnessed
the ocean for the very first time. Whether it was on a group tour or a
personal trip with my family, each travel memory holds a special place in
my heart. As you peruse our catalog, I hope that you can picture yourself
at one of these magnificent destinations making memories that you will
cherish for a lifetime.
I would love to hear about your memorable travel stories with
Ambassadair. Whether you have just recently begun traveling with us
or have been guests of ours for years, your stories and experiences are
of the utmost importance to us! To share your story and potentially be
featured in our Trips magazine, please email info@ambassadair.com.
Safe Travels!
W
hat may have seemed as an ordinary
trip to Mackinac Island became an
everlasting memory in the lives of Harry and
Lynne Hail. The couple met late in their adult
lives, but there was no shortage of romance in
their relationship. Harry and Lynne met while
online dating. After two years of dating, Harry
won over Lynne’s heart.
Once Harry proposed, Lynne began planning
the big day. To make their relationship even
sweeter, Lynne surprised Harry with a secret
wedding on their upcoming trip to Mackinac
Island with Ambassadair. The two kept their
wedding plans a secret from Thanksgiving
until they said “I do” on June 18. Although
their family and friends were not present at
the wedding, one of our Travel Directors,
Chris Soto, had the opportunity to witness the
bonding of two hearts. Not only did she stand
by their side during the ceremony, but she also
signed their marriage license as a witness. This
was the very first wedding Soto had ever been a
part of on an Ambassadair trip.
Harry and Lynne were married on the West
Porch of the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island.
Prior to the wedding, the Grand Hotel held a
special place in Harry’s heart because one of
his favorite love stories, Somewhere in Time,
was filmed at the hotel. Now, he has a love
story of his own.
Once the two became one, they decided to let
their big news out of the bag. They went to the
Library Bar inside the Grand Hotel to enjoy a
glass of wine and share their secret with their
family and friends. Their loved ones were
shocked by the big surprise!
The love continued throughout the duration of
the trip. Once they returned home, they held a
wedding reception where a couple from their
Mackinac Island trip attended. Not only did
they earn a lifetime partnership on the trip, but
they established new friendships as well.
Ambassadair was lucky to also be a part of their
one-year anniversary. The Hail’s celebrated
their anniversary on our Alaska In-Depth trip.
They felt extremely special when the group
made a champagne toast to their marriage! As
for their next anniversary, they plan to retire to
Florida where they will have the opportunity to
vacation every day.
Lynne has an extensive travel history with
Ambassadair. She traveled over twelve times
with us to the Caribbean where she became a
certified diver in Bonaire. She turned her love
for diving into a career. Once she met Harry,
she decided to share him with us as well. Their
destination wedding was Harry’s first trip with
Ambassadair. Their first Ambassadair trip
together to Mackinac Island was an experience
that will last a lifetime in their memories.
Find the time
to create
memories
with the ones
you love.
Harry and Lynne highly recommend others
celebrate their anniversaries, renew vows, or
even take the leap of getting married on an
Ambassadair group tour. They had a wonderful
experience and enjoyed the support of the other
guests. However, they want to give most of the
praise to Chris Soto for playing such a huge
role in their big day and for doing everything
in her power to ensure their wedding was as
magical as they had hoped.
Whether you are planning your next
celebration, or you are interested in exploring
somewhere new, find the time to check off
your travel bucket list. Find the time to travel
the world. Find the time to follow your heart
wherever it may lead. Most importantly, find
the time to create memories with the ones you
love.
