trailblazing apprenticeship scheme<br />

Created by the <strong>Chartered</strong> <strong>Management</strong> Institute (CMI), the <strong>Chartered</strong><br />

Association of Business Schools (CABS), higher education providers,<br />

and funded by the apprenticeship levy, this apprenticeship combines<br />

work-based learning and business education. Upon successful<br />

completion, learners receive a degree and professional recognition<br />

through the award of <strong>Chartered</strong> Manager status.<br />

This apprenticeship is Underpinned by BA (Hons) Professional<br />

Practice in Leadership and <strong>Management</strong> and has been designed<br />

to be accessible for a wide a range of individuals. This includes<br />

members of existing work forces and individuals at the start of their<br />

career. It is appropriate for professional managers from all sectors –<br />

the private, public or third sector – and all sizes of organisation.<br />

An apprenticeship is first and foremost a job, with substantial training<br />

Fees & funding<br />

The cost of the CMDA is £22,000 over<br />

3.5 years.<br />

Levy paying companies<br />

This course can be claimed from your<br />

levy contributions. For further information,<br />

please visit the Education and Skills Funding<br />

Agency website ‘<strong>Apprenticeship</strong> funding:<br />

rules and guidance for employers’.<br />

Non levy paying companies<br />

You will co-invest 10% of the total cost of the<br />

apprenticeship.<br />

What if I want to study but am not able to<br />

go down the apprenticeship route?<br />

We would welcome learners who meet the<br />

eligibility criteria, even if their employers are<br />

not able to support the apprenticeship route.<br />
