Main Concerns on Income<br />
The region received lower than average rainfall in the last season, and this has had an adverse impact<br />
on livelihoods and food security among some of the poorest persons in the region. The low rainfall has<br />
resulted in inflation of food item and, therefore, deteriorating livelihoods and exacerbating poverty.<br />
At least 76% of the refugees and 63% of the host communities expressed concern with the low level<br />
of their household income, especially due to the current inflation on common household products.<br />
Most refugee households, 89%, were concerned with limited income generation opportunities in the<br />
settlement and price inflation - making access essential household items<br />

Similar concerns were raised by the host communities, with 43% concerned with inflation and 32%<br />
reporting bad weather that led to low yields. A total of 25% reported a lack of income generation activities.
