The Secretary’s Jottings
Good afternoon everyone. Welcome to Woodstock Park.
Welcome to our visitors from Sussex, East Grinstead Town. A welcome also to this afternoon’s
match officials, the referee, Jamaal Horne from Thornton Heath and his assistants,
Stephen Mathews from Redhill and Carl Smith from Dorking.
Our last scheduled match away at Three Bridges was of course postponed because of a waterlogged
pitch. The rearranged date for this is Tuesday 26 th February. I was surprised that not
more matches were postponed last Saturday. I would think that after the torrential rain we had
around that time that there are going to be a number of pitches out there that are the worse for
wear. Roger, our groundsman and Vice chairman, Ken, have worked hard on our pitch to get it
back to a reasonable condition after the Ashford match. I was amazed at the pictures of the
Newport County pitch after their FA Cup tie against Middlesbrough. It looked like a ploughed
field with hardly a blade of grass anywhere to be seen.
I am sure that the supporters will have appreciated the performances under our new manager,
Chris Lynch. The performance at home to Ashford was first class. We were very unlucky not
to get anything out of a game against a team that, in my opinion, are the best team we have
played this season. Chris continues to add new players to the squad and today we welcome
Tom Lawrence who has signed for us from Tunbridge Wells. Chris has also announced that
Nathan Elder has being promoted to Assistant manager. Welcome to Tom and congratulations
to Nathan
Our new dressing rooms are taking
shape with the internal walls all done
as well as much of the plumbing and
electrics. The refurbished building will
also have a manager’s office, a physio
room and a medical room. Thanks to
Greg McHardy for all the hard work he
and his men are putting into the project.
We have also been awarded a further
amount of money from Swale
Councillor Derek Conway’s budget to
help with the cost of the electrical
works. This is the second award given to us by Councillor Conway. Last year he gave a contribution
to the main structural works in the new dressing rooms.
In the next few weeks you will see more work being done around the ground that will include a
tidy up of the area both sides of the main stand. We will also be looking for volunteers to do
decorating in the new dressing rooms. Volunteers are also required to keep the motorway
Bridge and Forum Car Park signs up to date!
Next up for us are two away games. Next Saturday we visit VCD, hoping to get revenge for
our unlucky defeat to them recently. The following Tuesday its our rescheduled visit to Three
Bridges. Our next home match is on Saturday 2 nd March against Faversham Town.
Enjoy the game!
An eventful week.
From the Manager
We started the
Saturday before
last with our first
away win in the
league since
last September,
with a fantastic
3-4 win at Phoenix
Athletic. And
what a display it
was.. going 0-2
up within 25
minutes away from home, shows just how far we
have come in such a short period of time. This
team is currently full on confidence, with some
added depth and self belief knowing they can
beat anyone on any given day. We ended the half
1-3 up, and deservedly so. With Tommy Fagg
latching onto a ball inside the box from a GK mistake
giving us the lead, then man of the match
Roman Campbell scoring twice, the first a tap in
from 10 yards and the second a moment of magic
from the rising star, firing a low, powerful shot
leaving the GK no chance.
Second half, shows us that even though we are
making significant progress, we still have work to
do when out of possession and when maintaining
a comfortable winning position. 1-3 became 3-3
due to our own lapses in concentration giving
away too many needless fouls around our box.
Both goals coming from set pieces. Some, would
have been forgiven for thinking the story of this
season thus far would strike again, However, the
character of the team shone through, we went on
to score again after some great work down the
right side by on loan Henry Woods producing a
fantastic cross for Johann Caney-Bryan to latch
onto and complete the scoring.
Roman, should have had his first club hat-rick
had the ball not rebounded of the inside of the
post early on in the second half. (Had that have
gone in the score would have been 1-4).
The scenes at the final whistle were deserved
and fully justified as fans and players hugged
each other, (including the management team) after
capping off an exciting display. A great day
out for all, showing a glimpse of what the future
holds in store for us.
We then focused our attention to Tuesday night,
where 2nd placed Ashford visited the Woodstock
stadium, on a ten match unbeaten run. The conditions
were poor after heavy rain/snow the week
before, with the club volunteers/players and committee
members coming together to ensure the
game went ahead. It was testament to the players
that the game was very even throughout. The
final score ending 0-2. However, the game was a
lot closer than the score sounds, the first half
ending 0-1, after a rare Ashford shot found its
way in, this wasn't a moment of class, simply a
shot from the edge of the box, which carried a
light deflection. Had we have closed down a little
earlier we would have dealt with the situation
comfortably. The second half we went at it, and
only conceded again in the dying minutes, due to
me taking a risk and going for it (making a tactical
change leaving three at the back). I would rather
lose 0-2 going for it than lose 0-1 knowing we
hadn't tried to salvage a point. Come the final
whistle, the relief showed from Ashford who celebrated
as if they had won the league, again
showing us the gap is closing and better times
are around the corner. All In all, a very productive
week.
Injury updates:
Lex Allan is doing well and was present at training
this week watching the squad working hard,
he will remain out of action for at least the next 4
weeks, however, his recovery is going well.
Ben Fitchett, trained for the first time in two
weeks following a leg injury sustained in the Haywards
Heath fixture. He should be back, fully fit
within the next two weeks.
Tom Loynes was put through his paces Thursday
night having trained with the development squad
Tuesday, He looks to be making a speedy recovery,
in time to finish the season strong.
Josh Spencer - although pulling up with a knee
injury prior to the game v Phoenix played 90
minutes v Ashford and did well.
Billy Lewins - trained Thursday and felt injury free
from a groin strain he had developed two weeks
prior.
KJ McFaland - is having ongoing treatment for a
hamstring injury and should be back within the
next two weeks.
Tommy Fagg is away for the next two games
through suspension, after totting up 10 yellow
cards throughout the season.
With close to all our injured players making returns
the squad is looking very competitive going
into the remaining 13 x fixtures.
Good news:
We welcome new signing Tommy Lawrence, a
ball playing centre midfielder to the club this
week, who joins us from Tonbridge, having impressed
on trial.
And congratulations to Nathan Elder whom, I
have this week promoted to my new no.2 - Assistant
Manager.
We are now looking forward to the back end of
the season and finishing strong.
Chris
From the Programme Editor
I want to start with repeating a plea by John
that in the next few weeks if anyone has any
spare time to help us then there will soon be a
host of jobs that need doing at the ground.
These include painting and general decoration
of the new dressing rooms as well as some
general tidying up, all in readiness for our
ground grading that will take place on the 18th
March. It really is “squeeky bum” time as if we
don’t get the ground up to step 4 standard then
relegation is a distinct possibility.
I want to add my personal thank to Roger Pudner
our groundsman and to Ken Medwyn for
working tirelessly on the pitch. We all know that
the drainage
of the pitch
is, too put it
politely, not
very good!!
There are
machines
available
that will
sponge water
off of the
pitch but
with all our
other outgoings
there is
just no money
in the kitty
to purchase
one
of these, so
if you supporters
want
to start fund
raising don't
let us stop
you!
I know that
many of you
look forward
to going over
to the Channel
Islands to
play Guernsey
and
therefore you
will be
pleased to
hear that Jersey
Bulls,
Jersey’s top
team, have
just been accepted
into
the Combined Counties League one, the
league that Guernsey began in. That means
that by season 2022—2023 they could be in
our league!!! More about this later on in the
programme.
I was sorry to see that the planning application,
that would if passed, have meant that Canterbury
City would be “coming home” however
the Quinn Estates led plan has been turned
down. Canterbury Citiy’s latest idea is to get
some of their supporters interested in standing
for the council so that there is a greater chance
that the plans, in some form or another, will
eventually get through.
Recently both Cray Wanderers and Horsham
from our league have been successful with
their applications for new grounds, with Horsham’s
all set to be their home from the start of
next season.
1890s
East Grinstead Town — A Brief History
East Grinstead Town Football Club was formed
on May 8, 1890 although it was another ten
years before they played their first competitive
match as founder members of the Mid Sussex
Football League. In those early days the club
played in blue and white with the town's coat of
arms on the breast pocket. It was some years
before they adopted their current colours of amber
and black and were nicknamed 'The
Wasps,' both of which survive to this day.
1900s
They won the Mid Sussex League in 1902 and
their first major honour followed seven years
later when they shared the Sussex Junior Cup
with Arundel.
In 1909 they were awarded senior status which
they have held ever since apart from two seasons
when they were relegated to the intermediate
third division of the Sussex County League
in 1989.
1910s
In 1912 Grinstead reached the Sussex Senior
Cup final for the only time in their history but lost
4-1 to St Leonards Amateurs in a ferocious
snowstorm.
1920s
The Wasps were original members of the Sussex
County League when it was founded in
1920, but they struggled to make any impact
and after finishing bottom in 1927 and replaced
by Horsham, they were not re-elected.
1930s
Rather than returning to the Mid Sussex
League, they had four successful seasons in
the Brighton League before stepping up to the
Southern Amateur League. A fresh challenge
reinvigorated the club and they won the Division
Three title in 1932 with 15 victories out of 18.
Three years later they played on the Test match
cricket ground at Trent Bridge in Nottingham
when they defeated Nottinghamshire Amateurs
6-0 in the old FA Amateur Cup.
Determined to regain their place in the Sussex
County League, they were re-elected back in
1937 after winning the Mid Sussex League
again and finished fifth in their first season.
1940s
In those halcyon days either side of the Second
World War, four-figure crowds were the norm at
their old ground in West Street, East Grinstead,
which they shared with the town's cricketers.
The club's record attendance is 2,006 for an FA
Amateur Cup tie against Lancing in November,
1947.
1950s
Success eluded Grinstead until 1952 when they
won the Baldwin Cup, the forerunner of the Sussex
County League Cup. That team is reckoned
by many to be the finest the club has ever produced.
It was certainly the most entertaining -
42 games that season in league and cup produced
222 goals!
Grinstead were third in 1955, but their fortunes
began to decline along with crowd numbers after
that. They left West Street in 1959 and had a
spell at King Georges Field in the town centre.
1960s
Following the spell at King Georges Field in the
town centre it wasn't until 1967 that they finally
moved to their current home at East Court after
a protracted battle to get the ground, which was
prone to waterlogging, fit for football.
1970s
The club again finished third in 1973 but that
was as good as it got for another 30 years although
Grinstead did reach their first cup final
since 1952 when they lost 4-1 to Haywards
Heath in the RUR Cup in 1974 despite taking
the lead.
Wasps found themselves in Division Two for the
first time in 1979.
1980s
East Grinstead Town—A brief History Cont
During the 1980s the club regularly hosted
Crystal Palace and Brighton in charity fixtures
watched by crowds of over 2,000 spectators.
However during this time the Wasps had
dropped even lower with two seasons in Division
Three before regaining senior status.
1990s
They were promoted back to Division One in
1993, but lasted just two years.
Floodlights were installed in 1997.
2000s
Bob Smith led Wasps back to Division One in
2003 and they also won their first trophy for 52
years, beating Three Bridges 4-0 in the final of
the RUR Cup.
Unfortunately, the club were relegated back to
Division Two on the final day of the 2004-05
season and in October 2006 Smith, the longestserving
manager in the club's history, was replaced
by former player Steve Norris.
In his second season Wasps romped to the
Second Division title by a massive 18 points,
losing just twice all season. Their winning run of
14 successive league games at the start of the
season meant they became the last senior nonleague
team in the country to drop points.
Since then the club has established itself in the
top flight, most recently under former Brighton
striker Simon Funnell and their progress on the
field has been matched off it.
A new drainage system laid in 2003 transforming
the playing surface, which is now one of the
best in Sussex.
The club were awarded the prestigious FA
Standard Chartered Development Club award
in 2003 and were registered as a Community
Amateur Sports Club in 2005.
In 2008 two new stands and a pitch perimeter
barrier were erected.
2010s
in 2014 with the GAC Stadium already meeting
the requirements of the Ryman Football League
after installing additional seating, the club began
work on a new dressing room and hospitality
complex, a new turnstile block and entrance
and a resurfaced car park. Part of the 2014
funding included a £50,000 grant from FA Cup
sponsors Budweiser, £100,000 from the Football
Stadia Improvement Fund, £40,000 from
Mid Sussex District Council and £35,000 from
SITA Trust.
Funnell’s side finished the season in second
place, their highest ever County League position,
and in May 2014, the club were accepted
into the Ryman League for the first time in our
history.
Funnell left the club during our first season at
Step 4 and Tony Beckingham returned to East
Court for a second spell. 'Becks' kept the club in
the League but he resigned in October 2015
and Matt Longhurst took over. Matt made sure
Wasps retained their Ryman (now Bostik) status
in his first season and in his two following
seasons (bar a mini-break on the South Coast
for a couple of weeks)
The club runs multiple teams in the Bostik and
Mid Sussex Leagues (details of which are all on
this website). Matt is firmly committed to playing
a young team and to 'developing our own' firstteam
players of the future.
During 2018 the club commenced working in
partnership with the local Jubilee Community
Centre to develop disability football provision in
the area.
2018 also saw the Football Association announcement
of a revamping of the Non-League
pyramid. From 2018/19 the two division step 4
Bostik League Division One North and One
South (which the Wasps compete in) replaced
by 3 divisions (Bostik League North, South-
Central and South-East). The Wasps will be
kicking-off their fourth season at this level in the
20 team Bostik League South-East.

Jersey Bulls To join the pyramid
The following is from https://fanbanter.co.uk
A league spokesman said: “It is an exciting development for the League and its clubs as
well as for Jersey Bulls. When Guernsey came in it was very much a step in the dark. It
went well though and we now have that experience which should serve us in good stead if
it all comes to fruition which certainly looks likely, especially as the Bulls have the support,
not only of the Jersey Government but also the local Jersey League and the Jersey Football
Association.”
The club will fly into Gatwick Airport for their away games as well as will pay costs for the
travel and accommodation for all of the travelling oppositions.
Back in September of 2018, Guernsey chairman Mark Le Tissier wrote: “We were delighted
to be able to offer support and advice from our experiences to Russell. We wish Jersey
Bulls well and we look forward to the prospect of derby matches in the future.”
Jersey do have their own league which consists of 13 teams, split into two divisions.
Back in December 2015, Jersey FA submitted an application to UEFA to allow them to take
part in international matches after Gibraltar were successful with theirs two years earlier.
In October 2016, Jersey’s bid to join UEFA was rejected but went on to be appealed to the
Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) the following year. A few months later, the CAS ordered
the UEFA congress to hear the case. In February 2018, Jersey’s bid to become an international
football nation was rejected by majority of the member associations of UEFA

V A BLOODY R.
For years the debate around technology
raged. Should football have it? Should it not?
Will it help? Will it take away the spontaneity
and disrupt the flow of the game?
The answers still aren't all that clear. In last
year's Russian World Cup there were some
decisions where its use made absolute
sense. There were others times that left everyone
scratching their heads.
Essentially it is used in four scenarios. Goals
and whether there was a violation in the build
-up like an offside or foul.
The next is for penalty decisions – general
fouls aren’t reviewable unless it is a direct
red card.
And the final option is for cases of mistaken
identity when yellow or red cards are issued.
The system is something everyone is clearly
getting used to – referees, players and fans.
That is a big part of the problem.
Having held off for so long, it's like to football
powers were so desperate to use it that the
process has been completely rushed.
Supporters inside the stadium and at home
watching on TV don't fully know what is happening.
In cricket and rugby, we at least hear the
conversation between the officials. In American
Football, decisions are literally announced
to the crowd.
But football too often treats its fans - customers
- like a school child with a box of matches.
The lack of transparency that masks
many areas of the game is the same here.
Eventually showing a replay doesn’t really
cut it.
Clips should be shown inside stadiums and
we should hear the officials arrive at their
verdict. Instead fans in the ground wait for a
man with his finger in his ear to make an arm
signal.
VAR is not something Non-League clubs are
going to be worrying about any time soon, if
ever.
Apart from when it comes to the FA Cup. The
system was introduced during last year’s
competition.
Let’s be clear. If correct decisions are being
reached because of it, then all well and good.
But surely there has to be a level playing
field. The fact is, not all grounds have it.
Take the other weekend, for example. Championship
side Sheffield Wednesday were
awarded a penalty at Chelsea. VAR was in
operation, the decision was looked at and the
Chelsea defender clearly won the ball. Penalty
overturned and on we go – although
Wednesday would have felt they should instead
have been awarded a corner rather
than the drop ball that restarted the game.
Last Monday night, Barnet had Brentford on
the ropes. Having fallen behind, Darren Currie’s
side swung the tie back their way with
two quick goals from Shaq Coulthirst.
But just seven minutes later, Brentford were
thrown a lifeline. Referee Andy Madley adjudged
David Tutonda to have fouled Ollie
Watkins in the box. Replays clearly show
there was no contact. It’s not even up for debate.
Watkins, probably expecting contact,
went down untouched. He’s since apologised.
Despite the game being shown live on BT
Sport and replays within seconds showing a
clear angle, there was nothing that could be
done because VAR was having the night off.
Brentford scored, went on to take the lead
before Dan Sparkes’ wonderful free-kick
made it 3-3 and booked a replay.
It’s all Sliding Doors, but who’s to say if VAR
had been deployed that Barnet wouldn’t have
gone on to win the game 2-1 and proceed to
the fifth round, banking £180,000 while
they’re at it?
There has to be parity across the competition
to keeps its integrity. VAR should only come
into operation from a certain stage, say, the
quarter-finals. Where it is likely most clubs
will be in the Premier League and able to
cope with what is needed or arrangements
can be made.
It can’t be one set of rules for the fortunate
big boys and another for the so-called minnows.
Match Reports by Tony Rickson
Saturday 2nd February 2019
Bostik South East
Phoenix Sports 3 Sittingbourne 4, att 124
Oh what fun it is to see Sittingbourne win away.
Even more so when it’s as dramatic and exciting
as this.
Sittingbourne went 2-0 up, then it was 2-1, 3-1 at
half-time, Phoenix fought back to 3-3, and then
Sittingbourne clinched it 4-3 with a glorious winning
goal.
Since they won at Guernsey back in September
and drew at Ashford, Sittingbourne have lost their
last seven away league games on the bounce.
No wonder this win was celebrated so jubilantly
with fans who have followed – and unstintingly
cheered them on all the way – throughout those
journeys.
They were the only team in the lower half of Bostik
South East League to win so victory also lifted
them up from joint bottom of the table.
Praise for recently-appointed manager Chris
Lynch for the way he has rebuilt this team so convincingly
in such a comparatively short time, and
praise for the Gillingham manager, ex-Brickies
boss Steve Lovell, for lending out three of his excellent
youngsters who were so important to this
win.
And for once, Sittingbourne had a bit of luck on
their side – when Phoenix had two defenders
sent off in the last minute of their previous game
and were suspended for this one. And when they
were gifted the crucial opening goal by a goalkeeping
error.
On a bitterly cold north Kent afternoon, with just a
little bit of snow swept behind the touchlines, Sittingbourne
planned to field the same team that
was unlucky to lose to Haywards Heath the previous
weekend.
That meant they were still without Tom Loynes,
Lex Allan, Ben Fitchett and Billie Lewins, and
even that plan was thwarted when Joshua Spencer
pulled out during the pre-match warm-up. So
Gills youngster Jack Morrell switched to a makeshift
central defensive pairing with normal midfielder
Tommie Fagg – and how well he did –
while Rob Lofting came in at left-back.
Sittingbourne started positively, putting pressure
on Phoenix’s presumably equally makeshift defence,
and took the lead when the home keeper
dropped Chris Webber’s free-kick and Fagg coolly
slotted home the loose ball for his fourth goal of
the season.
Hardly looking like a side who had lost seven
games in a row, Sittingbourne continued to tear
open the Phoenix defence, and after Morrell got
the ball in only to be ruled offside, they went twoup
on 34 minutes. Fagg hit an incredible diagonal
long ball into space behind the home defenders,
the keeper could only parry Timmie Babbington’s
fierce shot, and the lively Roman Campbell was
in the right place to tuck the rebound away.
Phoenix hadn’t showed much going forward but
they pulled a goal back when Fagg made a great
defensive block, only for Hopkins to pick it up and
hit a low shot into the corner of the goal from just
outside the area.
2-1 was hardly a fair reflection of Sittingbourne’s
first half dominance but they got a crucial third in
added time, Izzy Adebayo finding Campbell, who
worked the ball onto his favoured left foot and
from a narrow angle crashed a brilliant shot into
the far corner.
Campbell was within inches of his hat-trick when
he smashed the ball against a post at the start of
the second half but two set pieces later and
Phoenix were level and Sittingbourne were looking
distinctly jittery for a bit.
The home side made it 3-2 when a low free-kick
from their right created a scramble at the near
post with the ball going in off Fagg, according to
those behind the goal.
The equaliser was controversial as Webber was
penalised for handball just outside his area, complaining
bitterly that he’d shouldered the ball
down and getting a rare booking for his dissent.
Keeper Patrick Lee got his hands to Taiwu’s wellstruck
free-kick but couldn’t keep it out.
The momentum was with the home side now but
this Sittingbourne team have plenty of spirit about
them and always looked dangerous when they
could get the ball forward.
The 76th minute winner was a thing of beauty.
Babbington did really well down the right and
found Henry Woods running into space on the
overlap.
The Gills youngster showed great vision and skill
to hit a beautiful early cross to perfectly pick out
sub Johan Caney-Bryan who finished the move
smartly.
So many late goals have taken points away from
Sittingbourne this season and Phoenix looked for
all the world as if they were going to get one in
the last minute of normal time. But Lee made a
super save, coming out quickly and tipping a
fierce shot wide.
Every single Sittingbourne player contributed to
an enjoyable, important and overdue win. It’s
amazing what organisation, energy, commitment
and a few judicious signings can do for a club.
Match Reports by Tony Rickson
Saturday 5th February 2019
Bostik South East
Sittingbourne 0 Ashford Utd 2, Att 174
Some consolation for Sittingbourne is that the
last time they played a second-placed team
they got thrashed 5-0, and this match was altogether
closer.
That shows how much they’ve improved in the
last few weeks, but ultimately you get no more
for losing 2-0 than by five.
High-flying and in-form, Ashford were a totally
different side to the one Sittingbourne drew
with back in September.
This time they were powerful, strong, organised,
and altogether pretty horrible, claiming
free-kicks all over the place, wasting time, and
generally killing the game. Horrible, but effective.
And in John Coker, Josh Wisson and Tom
Carlse, the three ex-Sittingbourne players in
their side, they had three of the best players on
the field.
In fact, it was the performance of Coker, and
his fellow central defender Kamara, that was
key to it as they tightly-marked Roman Campbell
out of the game.
The hugely-promising young striker is a player
who can make all the difference, and having
scored three in three coming into this game he
is clearly going to be a key player in Sittingbourne’s
fight against relegation.
Sittingbourne made two changes from the
team that excitingly beat Phoenix Athletic 4-3
just three days earlier, Joshua Spencer returning
in defence and Johan Caney-Bryan starting
in the No 10 role after getting the winner on
Saturday as a sub.
Both sides restricted scoring chances to a minimum
in the first half, but Sittingbourne’s forward
passes weren’t accurate enough at times
and Ashford mainly kept a tight rein on them.
The singing battle between the fans at either
end finished in an honourable draw although
Sittingbourne coined the best lyrics when they
called down the pitch to Ashford: “We’ll see
you next year. You’ll lose in the play-offs.”
The only goal of the half came after 17 minutes
when Sittingbourne defended well to block a
shot on target only for the ball to run kindly for
Parrish to pick his spot from the edge of the
area. Either he was lucky to be in just the right
place to get the rebound, or maybe it was skilful
positioning.
Inevitably the second half was going to be
slightly more open as Sittingbourne pressed
for an equaliser and Ashford attempted
to catch them on the counter-attack.
Keeper Patrick Lee made a couple of good
saves while at the other end, on 53 minutes,
Izzy Adebayo got in Sittingbourne’s first ontarget
shot but the visiting keeper had it covered
all the way.
The referee missed what looked like an obvious
foul on Timmie Babbington and in the
break that followed a free-kick was given for
handball against Spencer – the Ashford players
made sure the referee didn’t miss that one.
Sittingbourne were right in it at this stage and
Caney-Bryan’s header was punched out by
keeper Mott, followed by the referee refusing
penalty appeals for handball against Coker. It
looked for all the world like the one Chris Webber
was penalised for at Phoenix on Saturday,
but I didn’t think that was handball either.
Spencer twice broke from the back for Sittingbourne
with enterprising runs, the first time
forcing a corner but the second trying a shot
that flew miles wide.
Sittingbourne went three at the back in a brave
bid to get something from the game against a
strong Ashford defence, but it was all over in
the 85th minute when a long throw from the left
was helped into the goalmouth and Corne
made it 2-0 from close range.
No lack of effort from Sittingbourne, but there’s
clearly a gap between themselves and promotion-chasing
teams, and a lot of hard work still
needed to preserve their status at this level
come the end of the season.
Sittingbourne: Patrick Lee, Chris Webber,
Jack Morrell, Tommie Fagg, Joshua Spencer
(Yellow card), Lewis Chambers, Izzy Adebayo
(Liam Middleton, 64 min), Henry Woods, Roman
Campbell, Johan Caney-Bryan, Timmie
Babbington (Rob Lofting, 85 min). Subs not
used: Abdel Ndew, Dylan Riches, Nathan Elder.
