You complete the cycle of care.
What makes you proud? Every week, I receive letters from patients whose
health was improved by our medical care, whose lives were touched by
our staff – and they want to acknowledge it by making a donation. That
connection is our highest honor. It confirms we’re on track. And it makes
me proud.
What does non-profit signify? At Hawaii Pacific Health, we re-invest all our
earnings back into our charitable mission: to provide the highest quality
healthcare and services to the people of Hawaii and the Pacific Basin.
We can’t do it without your help. As a non-profit, we rely on philanthropic
support – now, more than ever.
Every dollar you give makes a difference in our ability to make exceptional care
accessible to all who need it. When you give to Kapi‘olani Health Foundation,
Straub Foundation or Wilcox Health Foundation, your gift will reach literally
thousands of people.
What makes the hospitals of Hawaii Pacific Health special? Whether you rely
on the Women’s Center at Pali Momi, the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at
Kapi‘olani, the Outpatient Cancer Treatment Center at Straub or the Cardiac
Care Program at Wilcox (to name just a few of our specialty care services), our
healthcare network is woven together seamlessly.
Pooling these resources is our core strength. It allows us to provide an
exceptional quality of care and remain fiscally solid during these precarious
times for healthcare. We can recruit and retain the best doctors, nurses and
staff, and invest in state-of-the-art technologies. Most importantly, through
your help and support, we’ll continue to provide great care to anyone who
needs it, right here at home, for generations to come.
The stories in this 2007-2008 Annual Report to Donors are brief examples
of “donations in action” at Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children,
Kapi‘olani Medical Center at Pali Momi, Straub Clinic & Hospital and Wilcox
Health. I’m very pleased to share them with you, our donors, whose generous
contributions have made these connections possible.
Our warmest mahalo for partnering with us to benefit Hawaii’s communities.
