To serve our patients well, it is essential that we stay abreast of patients’
needs. That’s why connecting with the Kauai community has always been a
vital part of our mission at Wilcox Health Foundation.
Connecting with patients, families, friends and other constituents helps us
be a responsible steward of charitable gifts and donations. And it helps
our constituents be more involved, as fellow stakeholders, in the health of
Kauai. Together with local trusts and foundations, Kauai businesses and our
hospital auxiliary, you have all shown tremendous support for our healthcare
network. Everyone in the Wilcox ohana is profoundly grateful for your generous
contributions.
One element of the Foundation’s mission is to spend philanthropic dollars
where they’re needed the most. Delivering state-of-the-art medical care
depends, in large part, on having the most up-to-date equipment. Simply
put, our doctors and nurses need the latest technologies to maintain the
exceptional level of care that Kauai residents deserve. Thus, in recent years
especially, purchasing leading-edge medical equipment has been the smartest
investment, particularly for our rural healthcare system.
Your donations have helped us make great strides in going high-tech. The new
Wilcox Surgical Center, the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Special Procedures
Unit, the Wilcox Family Imaging Center, and the newly designed Women’s
Health Center are testament to a new era of healthcare on Kauai.
Our goals for the coming year are equally significant. Philanthropic support will
be critical. With continued generous support from our Kauai community, our
vision will become a reality.
