The effort to broaden our scope, beyond public education
and outreach programs, has been an exciting one.
First, my warmest mahalo for supporting Straub Foundation as we entered
a new era this past year. The effort to broaden our scope, beyond public
education and outreach programs, has been an exciting one. Our expanded
mission now supports all medical specialties and programs at Straub Clinic &
Hospital. This includes Straub’s integrated health and medical services that are
of the highest quality, comprehensive, caring and always improving.
The changes reflect Straub’s increasing role in providing healthcare to the
people of Hawaii as the population of our state continues to expand and
mature. Despite this growing demand, we’re dedicated to maintaining our high
level of service. Our ability to achieve excellence in a broad range of medical
areas is imperative.
Maintaining this excellence can be a challenge, as reimbursements from
Medicaid and health insurers go down, while the costs of providing healthcare
go up. Philanthropy is more and more important to funding healthcare, in
Hawaii and across the nation. Community support is essential to ensure the
very best services for all of our patients.
Your contribution matters. With your help, Straub Foundation is cultivating the
comprehensive, patient-centric healthcare approach that our patients deserve.
Our healthcare system is completely integrated, with a full range of primary-
care physicians and specialists, clinics and the hospital, with core medical
specialties in Cardiology, Bone & Joint and Oncology. Patients appreciate
having multiple specialists, together in one facility.
With your help, we are building a robust foundation that will continue to
support Straub Clinic & Hospital, now and into the future. Our founder, Dr.
George F. Straub, and his colleagues believed the patient always comes first.
