My Partner Yvonne and I wanted to create 

a publication that celebrates and showcases 

the many beautiful, exotic and fast 

autos as well as vintage and rare show 

worthy vehicles from across America and 

beyond.

2009 Corvette Z06 

This photo shoot was done in the West Bottoms of Kansas City, near the corner of 

Mulberry and Union at the graffiti wall. The West Bottoms is an Historic part of Kansas 

City that comes alive the first Friday of every month. Art galleries, antique shops, restaurants 

and also food trucks are available in the area. Sometimes there is even live 

music. 

Robert had been watching and looking at this specific Corvette for about 5 months at 

a dealership in Raytown Missouri. He wasn’t sure if he wanted to purchase the Corvette, 

until he traveled to Arkansas for his cousins funeral. He reflected on how his cousin was 

only 6 months older than him. That’s when he realized that he wanted the Corvette. So 

when he made it back to Kansas City Missouri he got some rest and woke up early the 

next morning and went to the dealership at 7am. As he was waiting for the dealership 

to open, the police stopped by and asked him what he was doing. He let them know he 

was waiting for the dealership to open to buy that Corvette on the showroom floor for 

$79,000. When he purchased his car it had 14 miles on it. The Model of this Corvette is 

the Z06. This 2009 Corvette has its original motor. A 7.0-liter V8, 505 horsepower with 

470 lbs of torque and a 6-speed manual transmission. His car goes 0-60 in 3.6 seconds 

and has a top speed of 200 miles per hour. Robert calls his Corvette the “Z”. 

Robert documented a legendary trip from Arkansas in December of 2018. He drove 

from Little Rock Arkansas to Kansas City Missouri in 4 hours and 55 minutes, a distance 

of 420 miles. He remembers hitting 160 mph a few times and he only filled up twice during 

the whole trip. Robert has been showing his Corvette since he purchased it in 2009. 

He has traveled to Arkansas several times for car shows. Robert won Best of Show in 

Arkansas. He has won 14 Best of Show, also many other trophies and plaques at the car 

shows he’s attended. He has also traveled to Memphis Tennessee for car shows. Two 

years ago at the Memphis show he took 2nd place in the light show division. There were 

1,000 cars in that show and he was the only one from Missouri to take home a trophy. 

Robert said there hasn’t been a car light show that he has been in that he hasn’t placed. 

He also stated he’s planning on going back to Memphis in April 2019. His car now has 

40,000 miles on it. The furthest Robert has traveled for a car show has been 623 miles.

Q: What gratification do you get showing 

your car? 

A: I enjoy showing everyone the pride that I 

have of my car. This car is the best car that 

I have ever owned. I have really enjoyed 

the performance that the Corvette puts 

out in horsepower and the ride. 

Q: What got you into doing car shows? 

A: My father and my Uncles always had 

nice older cars that they took great 

care of so, that inspired me to do the 

same. 

Q : How many car shows do you do per 

year? 

A: I do about 25 shows a year. Most of the 

car shows that I do are local. I go to about 

4 or 5 shows out of town. 

Q: Are there certain car shows you go to 

every year? 

A: No not really.… I do try and make World 

of Wheels every year. I'm really wanting to 

make it to Biloxi Mississippi for the Cars on 

the Coast car show. One of the largest car 

shows. I also would like to be in SEMA in 

Las Vegas. 

Q: Do you have any other hobbies or 

other things you enjoy doing? 

A: I enjoy playing Pool. I also am a member 

of Corvette Connect Club 

of Kansas City. 

Q: Do you have any other show cars? 

A: Yes I have 1973 Stingray Corvette that I 

am working on. I plan on finishing this 

Corvette and entering it in car shows as 

well. 

Q: If money wasn't an object, which car 

would you buy? 

A: Lamborghini. 

Q: What are your cars original Specs? 

A: LS7. 7.0 liter V8, 6 speed manual 

transmission, with 505 HP, 470 lbs of 

torque. Car color was new for 2009 Cyber 

Gray. Original interior was gray cloth, the 

original rims are on the car. 

Q: What mods have you done? 

A: Rear wing, Snakeskin seats (custom), 

2500 watt stereo system with 

5 tv's and LED lighting, Lambo doors and 

a lowering kit. The stereo system and tv's 

were installed by H&H Auto in Overland 

Park Kansas. The Lambo doors were installed 

by One of a Kind on Truman Rd in 

Kansas City. 

Q: What mods do you want to do to your 

car? 

A: The only thing left is to put a wide body 

kit on it. 

Q: Anything else you'd like to add? 

A: I feel that going into a car show you 

should make sure you have a clean car 

and a good attitude. We always have a 

great time and enjoy each others company, 

sharing our stories and our love of our 

cars! At 67 years young, it’s always nice to 

have some excitement! 

After Robert purchased his 2009 

Corvette LS7 he felt that something 

was missing on the car. It was about 

6 months into him owning his Corvette 

that he figured out what it was. He 

realized that it needed a rear wing. 

He had remembered that a company 

was offering installation of a rear wing. 

When he contacted the company, they 

had discontinued installing rear wings. 

So Robert went shopping on the internet 

and found a 54 inch rear wing that he 

wanted for $125. He had a little trouble 

finding someone to install it. As you can 

see he did find a place that would install 

the rear wing. It was Mooneys Body 

Shop in Grandview Missouri. The cost 

of installation was $350. Now General 

Motors production of the 2019 Corvette 

LS7 comes with the rear wing. 

Robert decided he wanted to upgrade 

his stereo system and have LED 

lighting installed and Oracle lighting. 

He had a company install everything, it 

was about a 6 month process. The LED 

lights were giving him a few hiccups. 

Robert found another company to work 

on the lighting and correct any issues 

and reinstall anything needed. Robert 

had Oracle lights, multi colored headlight 

rings and fog lamp rings installed. 

A total of 22 feet of LED lights installed 

as well. Along with a 2500 watt system 

with 5 TV screens. All of this was 

installed by H&H Auto in Overland Park 

Kansas. Robert said that because he 

has the LED lights, his car goes to the 

shop often for repair. LED lighting is 

very sensitive. 



General Motors wants the 

world to know that the 2009 

Corvette Z06 LS7 is one of the 

fastest Corvettes they have 

ever produced. 

The engine is a 7.0 ltr V8, 427. 

with 505 horsepower , 470 lbs 

of torque. Original curb weight: 

3160lbs and a 6 -speed manual 

transmission. Titanium connecting 

rods and intake valves. 

Tires: 325/30ZR/19’s. Carbon 

fiber floor boards and front 

fenders. The aluminum structure 

of this Corvette has also 

carried over to the newer models 

for the stance and stability 

for hugging the curves of the 

roads. Robert has dressed up 

his engine bay with chrome fuse 

box cover, along with chrome 

caps for the water reservoir. 

This Corvette came with 

Sport bucket seats that were 

gray perforated leather, lumbar 

support and power. Robert 

decided he wanted to change 

the look and had custom 

snakeskin seats done. A very 

professional gentleman 

did the conversion in 2 days. He 

came to Roberts house, 

took the seats out of the Corvette 

and then brought them 

back when done and reinstalled 

them himself. Unfortunately 

the gentleman who customized 

Roberts seats has passed 

away. His work will always be 

remembered in the work of 

Roberts Corvette and so many 

others cars.

2004 Ford Mustang Mach1 

This photoshoot started at Lewis and 

Clark Park at Kaw Point in Kansas City. 

We wanted to capture downtown Kansas 

City and it’s beautiful surroundings. This is 

where the Kansas River runs into the Missouri 

River. Then we decided to move to 

the West Bottoms once again to the Historical 

area. The photoshoot started at EJ’s 

Urban Eatery graffiti wall and then moved 

to the graffiti wall in the alley at Wyoming 

St and W 9th St. Johnny has always had 

a love of cars. He was in the market shopping 

for a economical and compact car at 

the dealership. 

SOLOMON 

The salesman approached Johnny as 

he was looking and Johnny informed him 

of what he was wanting, so the salesman 

said to him, “I think I might have 

something you might want”. They walked 

around the corner and Johnny saw this 

2004 Mach1 coming off of the trailer. 

Johnny was wowed over the sight of this 

car, so he decided to take it for a test drive 

and fell in love. After enjoying such an 

exhilarating drive, Johnny decided he had 

to have this car. When they arrived back 

at the dealership there were 5 other buyers 

interested in purchasing this car. This 

Mach1 with a 5-speed manual transmission. 

There were only 787 made in the 

color Dark Shadow gray. Total Mach1’s 

made in 2004 were approximately 5,000. 

The name of Johnny’s car is “Solomon”.

your car? 

A: I enjoy hearing from people how much 

they like the appearance of my car and 

how it sounds. I also enjoy how it is such a 

close community of friends. They are like 

family and are always ready to be there for 

you to give advice, as well as to help out 

when needed. 


A: I got into doing shows because a few 

of my friends were doing the car shows. I 

enjoy hanging out with them and learning 

about their cars. I have always had a love 

for cars. 

Q: How many cars shows do you do per 

year? 

A: I do about 10 car shows a year locally. 

I also do multiple car cruises throughout 

the year. I have been showing my car for 

about 10 years. 

Q: Are there any certain car shows you do 

every year? 

A: I show my car at World of Wheels, 

Greater Mustang of Kansas CIty in Olathe 

Kansas and Street Car takeover usually at 

Ameristar, but in 2019 it is at Arrowhead 

Stadium. 

Q: Do you have any other hobbies or other 

things you enjoy doing? 

A: I like fishing and bowling. 

A: No 



A: I would love to buy a Bugatti. 

Q: What are your cars original specs? 

A: Car color Dark Shadow Gray, black 

leather interior, 4.6 ltr V-8 engine, 16 valve,

in Bonner Springs Kansas. I have won 1st 

Place in my class at the World of Wheels 

show in 2015 and 2016.

The floor mats and the trunk 

mat are custom with Mach1 

on them in gold Color. He 

also changed out his shifter 

to the Billet pistol grip shifter 

handle, from American 

Muscle. 

He also had installed a new 

Mach1 stereo system with 

a JBC 22 watt 4 channel, 2 

amps and Mach1 speakers.

2012 Dodge Challenger R/T 

This photo shoot was done at Wyandotte County Lake and Park in Kansas City, Kansas. 

This Lake and Park provides 1500 acres of wooded area, a 400 acre lake with marina 

and many other amenities. 

Mike and Melissa Crabaugh are the proud owners of this 2012 Dodge Challenger R/T. 

This Challenger is Mike’s car. Melissa’s 2017 Dodge Daytona Charger R/T is the next featured 

car. Mike was a previous owner of a red Corvette, but when his first grandchild 

was born, he wanted her (Samantha) to be able to ride with her Pa Pa. So that’s when 

he decided to trade his Corvette in on his 2012 Dodge Challenger R/T. The Challenger R/T 

comes with the 5.7 ltr HEMI engine that produces 375 horsepower and 410 lbs of torque. 

The Challenger R/T is known to do 0-60 in about 5 seconds. Mike has done alot of modifications 

to his Challenger but has not yet been able to take it to the track to get the 

numbers for the performance mods that he has done. He is hoping to get at least high 

8’s in a quarter mile. The new weight of the Challenger is about 3,900 lbs. Mike has been 

showing his car since he got it in 2013. His Challenger has earned and received throphy’s 

ever since he started showing it. His car has earned 4 Best of Show and 2 trophy’s for 

top 100 cars shown in a show of over 2,000 cars. Showing cars have been a family affair 

ever since. Mike, Melissa and their son Nicholas went to the car shows together. Nicholas 

was their sidekick! Nicholas would help them for hours at a time getting their cars 

ready for the shows. He made sure that he was able to go to Branson and Texas for the 

car shows. He made sure he was there no matter what! Nicholas never got a chance to 

do his own car, he always helped them with theirs. Unfortunately they lost their son in 

Aug of 2017, in a tragic car accident. Since then, they have dedicated part of their cars to 

the Memory of their son. One dream Mike and Nicholas had from doing the car shows, 

was to one day be in the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. That dream came true in 

October of 2018, when they received a call to go to SEMA 7 days after their photo shoot 

with us. They had only 2 days to get ready for the show and get there. They made it to 

the show which made their dream come true for Mike, his wife (Melissa) and the memory 

of their son. Thank you to Oracle Lighting and SEMA.

your car? 

A: Pride, satisfaction of being part of a 

family and community of all kinds of people 

that enjoy and have the same love for 

cars as I do. 


A: The love of cars! I’ve always liked fast 

cars. Before this Challenger I owned a Red 

Corvette. 

Q: How many car shows do you do per 

year? 

A: I do about 20 car shows a year. I do 

about five or six large shows a year and 

about 15 smaller shows. Most of the shows 

are local. The furthest we have traveled to 

a car show has been to SEMA in Las Vegas.

A: Yes, We have traveled out of state for 

the larger car shows. We are Mopar in 

Dallas Fort/Worth, Texas…Mopar Mania in 

Little Rock, Ark.. Mopars in Branson, Missouri. 

Q: If money wasn't an object which car 


A: Mine! Don’t want any other car. I am 

very happy with my Challenger. I still have 

a few more things I’d like to do to it, to 

make it even more mine. 

Q: What are your cars original specs? 

A: 2012 Dodge Challenger R/T, 5.7 ltr 

V-8, 375 hp, 410 lb-ft torque and 6 speed 

manual transmission. My Challenger goes 

from 0-60 in 5 seconds and it has a limited 

slip rear end. 


A: 422 stroker, F1R Procharger, methanol 

injection, G-force 9-inch rear end, coil over 

suspension, roll cage, parachute, 5 point 

harnesses, drag wing, 15” brake conversion, 

Big gas block, Aluminum heads, Oracle 

lights and Custom Airbrushed Memorial 

for their son under the hood, This is the 

same emblem that is embroidered into the 

head rests in the interior of the car. 


A: I’d still like to tub out the rear end, add 

wheely bars and make it faster! 



A: Our Grandkids. We modify their power 

wheels for car shows and they participate 

with us. We also own a company. The 

name of it is Nick’s Kansas City Edition. 


A: Yes...We have Melissa’s car, our deceased 

son Nick’s car and the grandkids 

power wheels. 


A: I would like to do a shout out to the 

companies that installed the mods and 

helped modify my Challenger. Chris Bailey-Bailey’s 

HyPerformance in Fort Worth, 

Texas, Wicked Arrow and Oracle Lighting. 

Of coarse I’d like to say a big thank you to 

my wife Melissa Crabaugh. 



Dodge Challenger’s original 

5.7 ltr HEMI V8 engine produced

about 5 seconds. Approximate 

weight with its originals 

specifications is 4082 lbs. 

Engine has been modified to 

a 422 Stroker Big block with a 

F1R Procharger, methanol injection 

and aluminum heads. 

They expect his Challenger 

will get in the high 8’s in the 

quarter mile. Mike has yet 

to run his car on the track. 

The curb weight is approximately 

3900 lbs. The purpose 

of the strut bar in the engine 

bay is for better handling of 

his challenger. 

Dodge Challengers interior 

specs are Nappa leather on 

the doors and racing seats 

which have a lumbar adjustment. 

Mike has added some 

red trim pieces to the doors 

and red to the control knobs 

on the dash board, along with 

the R/T plates on the doors as 

well. Mike has had his sons 

Guardian emblem embroidered 

in his headrests. Custom 

trunk pieces of the R/T 

and the Kansas City Mopars 

trunk covers were done by 

Al Stone of Kansas City. 

The custom roll cage, racing 

wing and installation of the 

parachute were installed by 

Spencer at Dash Built in Fort 

Worth, Texas. Mike custom 

finished his engine bay with 

pieces from American Car 

Craft.

The backdrop of all of the trees and the Lake is such a Beautiful place to do a photoshoot. 

So many natural surroundings that Mother Nature has given us to enjoy. 

Melissa and Mike Crabaugh are the proud owners of this 2017 Dodge Daytona Charger 

R/T. This is the second generation of the modern Charger which arrived in 2010, 

five years after Chrysler had revived the four door sedan. The 6.4 HEMI engine with 

485 horsepower and 475 lbs of torque. The Dodge Daytona Charger R/T can go 0-60 

in about 4.8 seconds . The car weighs in at about 4287 lbs, it did a quarter mile pass 

in about 13.7 seconds at 105 mph. They both share the love for cars and being in car 

shows together with family and friends. Melissa’s husband Mike has had his Challenger 

for a few years before he came up with the idea of getting her a Charger. She was all 

for it because of her love for doing shows with Mike. Sure it would be double the work, 

but so rewarding in the long run. The family time they spend together and the memories 

from doing the car shows will last a life time. Melissa and Mike (as he stated in his 

interview), have also modified their grandkids power wheels cars so that they can be in 

the car shows with them. Their power wheels are a Dodge Charger and Ram Truck. Their 

grand daughters Dodge Charger powerwheel, beat Melissa’s Charger in a car show 

and her grand daughter loved it! Melissa’s car is also dedicated to the memory of their 

son Nicholas, who they lost in a tragic car accident in August of 2017. Their son was in 

the United States Army National Guard. So Melissa decided to have the flag put on the 

roof of her car in dedication to him. The flag was done by KC Tint Works. She also had 

a wind restrictor made for her car rear window in dedication to their son as well. This 

was done by King Penn Industry Inc Wind Restrictor. Melissa and Mike were and are 

so very proud of their son Nicholas Crabaugh for his dedication in serving Our Country. 

Through that dedication, they are also supporters and volunteer with and for Veterans 

Community Project, to give back and help support our Veterans. They have also set up 

a non-profit organization called “Nick’s Cars and Bikes for Stars and Stripes”. Melissa 

and Mike are also members of the Kansas City Mopar Club. She has also won a Best of 

Show trophy and has received many others.

your car? 

A: Honestly, Men treat you as an equal 

and you get the respect from others, on 

how you present your car and how you 

talk about your car. Then there is this 

community of all of these people who embrace 

each other, enjoy and love their cars 

as much as we do. It is so amazing the 

support that we have gotten from others 

that show their cars. When our son Nick 

passed away, they were there for us helping 

us through the roughest time in our 

lives. 


A: My husband Mike got me into doing 

car shows. He knew it would be a way for 

us to have more family time together.

A: I do about 20 a year, five or six big 

ones and about 15 or 16 small ones. Alot 

of our shows are local, but we travel to 

different states for certain car shows. The 

furthest car show we’ve traveled to has 

been SEMA in Las Vegas.

Q: What are your original car specs? 

A: 6.4 HEMI Engine, 485 horsepower, 475

directed cold air induction.

Q: Are there any certain car shows you 

go to every year? 

A: Yes, We enjoy traveling to the car 

shows to see and spend time with our 

friends and extended family. The shows 

we attend are, We are Mopar in Dallas/ 

Fort Worth Tx, Mopar Mania in Little Rock 

Ark and Mopars in Branson, Mo. 


A: None...I love how my car is now!

2017 Dodge Daytona Charger 

is actually a Charger R/T with 

special editon add-ons. Known 

as the Customer Preferred 

Package 29s. Most prominent 

is a black spoiler and a 

wide, matte-black stripe that 

stretches across the decklid 

and wraps down onto the rear 

quarter-panels. The 6.4 HEMI 

with a Magnuson procharger 

and a Heavy Duty transmission. 

Melissa wanted to dress 

her Engine up and cover up 

some of those ugly parts. She 

contacted American Car Craft 

for these custom pieces. Her 

husband Mike installed the fuse 

box cover and the other engine 

bay pieces. 

The “In Loving Memory” 

graphic on the back window, 

Melissa and her husband Mike 

made it and put the graphic on 

the window. 

Dodge Daytona R/T is stocked 

with race inspired details and 

retro-cued soft-touch surfaces. 

The thick rim three-spoke Sport 

steering wheel provides comfort 

grip and is heated for even 

more comfort. Seating is covered 

with Premium Alcantara 

Suede and Nappa Leather. 

Daytona stitching in gold on 

the head rests and floor mats. 

Front seats have powered 

lumbar adjustment and are 

heated and cooled with dualzone 

temperature control with 

heated rear seats. Door panels 

are suede and leather too. 

Melissa added her own touch 

to the interior by trimming it in 

red herself. The Daytona has a 

unique trim around the gauge 

clusters and the gear shifter, 

metal- trimmed pedals and 

illuminated cupholders.

2018 Corvette Grand Sport with 2LT Package 

This photo shoot was done by the fountain at Chateau Avalon in Kansas City, Kansas 

next to Kansas Speedway. This is an award winning, 61 room, french style hotel has all 

of the amenities you will need. As we arrived early morning to do the photo shoot, we 

saw that the fountain wasn’t on. There was a maintenance worker outside the Chateau. 

We spoke to him about the hotel and then informed him we were wanting to do a photo 

shoot by the fountain. He politely turned the fountain on for us to do the photo shoot. 

Stewart previously owned a 2009 Corvette and then heard of the Corvette coming 

out with a Grand Sport option in 2010. He quickly realized that he wanted the Grand 

Sport model and decided to trade his 2009 in on a 2010 Corvette. He showed that 

model year for 8 years and decided to upgrade to a 2018 Corvette Grand Sport with 2LT 

package. 

Stewart said that when he purchased his 2018 Corvette, it was ordered from Atlantic 

City, New Jersey. At that time he had plans on entering his 2010 Corvette into the 

World of Wheels car show in Feb 2018 while at the same time he had the Corvette up 

for sale. The first gentleman that showed interest in the 2010 Corvette ended up flying 

in and purchasing it the night before the World of Wheels car show. While at the same 

time he was waiting for the delivery of the 2018 Corvette that he had ordered. He was 

worried at that he wouldn’t have a car to show at the World of Wheels. Luckily the night 

before the car show, his 2018 Corvette was delivered at 11:35pm. He registered his 2018 

car at 9am the next day at the World of Wheels show. The Corvette ended up winning 

1st place in the division. His Corvettes name is “Storm”! 

The Corvette is a sleek and sophisticated top gear luxury car. With 460 horsepower 

and a stance low to the ground, how could you not turn your head and look at the Corvette? 

A lot of people dream of owning one of these powerful cars. 

Just taking it for a spin would be an experience. With its aerodynamics as well as the 

car also being so close to the road, hugging the curves and hills would definitely 

give you the feeling of control and power!

A: Im a car guy, I take pride in how my car 

looks and how it’s presented. I also appreciate 

the input from other car guys, gals 

and vendors on their ideas for things to do 

modifying or upgrading our cars. 


A: I’ve always been into cars so doing this 

is a good outlet. I have always liked cars 

with V8’s.

car? 

A: I want to upgrade the wheels, K&N 

breather, air brushing under the hood of a 

storm..the name of the car is “Storm”. 


A: Yes. I feel you have to enjoy yourself 

and treat yourself. You can’t take it with 

you! I believe that when your are in a car 

show, they expect for your car to be 100% 

clean, door jams, undercarriage, fender 

wells, everything has to be clean clean. 


2018 Corvette Grand Sport 

engine is a 6.2 ltr V-8 with

200 miles per hour. The
