Sittingbourne FC Appearances to 22/1/2019 Aylesbury FC—Statement re Dressing Rooms This is how Aylesbury FC announced the news that they are unlikely to be able to provide dressing rooms to the new FA requirement. “Following the latest committee meeting of Aylesbury FC the club would like to make the following announcement. The football club were contacted earlier this season regarding ground grading requirements for next season. One of the main stipulations was regarding the changing areas, specifically the total floor area in each of the three changing rooms, whilst the home and away changing rooms are very close to the minimums needed the officials room would be considerably undersized. After consultations with a local building contractor and his surveyor we were advised that a major reconstruction would be needed to achieve the minimum requirements. This project would need to be completed by March 31st, if not we would need to have planning/ finance/ and a guarantee from the contractor that these works would be carried out by an agreed date. We were informed that failure to achieve the ground grading would result in relegation. The club began the process of putting together a plan regarding the funding and management of the project to achieve the ground grading, but unfortunately very soon realised that the deadline was simply not achievable. Earlier this week we were contacted by the league to discuss this situation and were assured that there would be no exceptions, the FA have made this very clear to them. The decision was taken to make this announcement as relegation is now unavoidable despite all of the hard work undertaken by the management, players and all the staff at the football club. Although all the people involved with the club are obviously devastated by this situation we are even more committed now to ensuring the future of Aylesbury FC, taking a step backwards to once again move forward. Twenty years ago the club were playing local football and went on to spend a sustained period at Southern League level - and will do so again!”

The Managers View Our new manager Chris Lynch gives his view on Saturdays game: My thoughts on the Ramsgate fixture. It was always going to be difficult coming into our first fixture away versus a recently in form Ramsgate side, who's squad have been together all season. We in contrast have had several weeks of change, with many players leaving and a massively depleted squad in terms of actual numbers and back up options for every position. We knew defensively it would be a challenge, with the injury last Saturday to Centre back Lex Allan with no back up options available at the club. Therefore, we gave debuts to two new signings (none of which are centre backs). Obviously no manager would plan on major chances to the back line before a game, nor playing players out of position, however, that was the situation we faced, it was also unfortunate knowing four of our new signings wouldn't arrive until next week. I felt had Billy Lewins shot gone in, in the first minute, the game could have panned out a little different, you take an early lead, confidence grows and the home side are immediately put on the back foot, however, it wasn't meant to be, to be fair to Ramsgate they took full advantage. What did encourage me was the never give up attitude of the players after the second and third goals went in. They carried on trying - which is great testament to their character. I was told before I came here how good the fans here are, they never stopped singing even after the final whistle, amazing support, which everyone of us are truly thankful for. We aim to show you how much that means to us over the next few months. I would ask you all to keep showing that great support for us, as you are our 12th man on the field, together we can achieve the ambitions of the club. We truly begin our resurgence on Tuesday evening where we face VCD Athletic. In the mean time, I would just like to thank you all for your continued support and we hope to very quickly start picking up the points we need on the road to safety. WE ARE IN IT TOGETHER, AND THE TIDE WILL TURN. Welcome Party for the Danes You are invited!! (If you read this at the Haywards Heath game then I’m sorry but the party’s finished!) SFC are hosting a welcome party for their Danish Friends from Fremad Amager and you are all invited! FREE buffet and FREE entry for all Brickies and their friends. My thoughts on the Ramsgate fixture.
It was always going to be difficult coming into
