DAY 1| FLY TO WASHINGTON, D.C. Today board your flight with other Husker fans to Washington, D.C. Get a good night’s rest as you will be off and running tomorrow. Overnight (4) Crystal City, Arlington, VA Lincoln Memorial; Korean War Veterans Memorial; National World War II Memorial; Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial; and the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial. These memorials honor Americans who have made great contributions as well as the supreme sacrifice. You will surely be awestruck and humbled by these monuments. Dinner is included this evening at the Crystal City Sports Pub. After dinner take a short Illumination Tour to see the memorials lit up at night. It is quite a sight! GAME TICKETS: See reservation page for game ticket policy. 6 DAY 2 | INTERNATIONAL SPY MUSEUM/ NATIONAL MUSEUM OF AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORY AND CULTURE/CITY TOUR OF WASHINGTON, D.C./ ILLUMINATION TOUR (B, D) This morning take a brief city tour. Next visit to the International Spy Museum where you will be amazed by the many exhibits at the first museum dedicated to international espionage. This afternoon tour the newest Smithsonian Museum - The National Museum of African American History and Culture. This museum seeks to understand American history through the lens of the African American Experience. Later this afternoon take a city tour of Washington, D.C. with the following stops: Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial; DAY 3 | ON YOUR OWN – ALL DAY HOP-ON HOP-OFF TICKET (B) This day is yours to do whatever you want. An all-day Hop-On Hop-Off ticket is included and is a great way to tour the city and visit the attractions of your choice. Use your pass to spend as much time as you want at the attractions you want to see. Some of the many stops include: U.S Capitol, Botanical Garden, Union Station, Smithsonian Castle, Air and Space Museum, American History Museum, Newseum, and many more. Make some great memories today and return to the hotel to rest up for game day tomorrow. DAY 4 | GAME DAY! (B) GO BIG RED! Today is game day, however, we do not know if we will play during the day or under the lights. As a result, this day is as up in the air as a good 50- yard pass! Take part in a Husker pre-game event (if available) to get revved up for the matchup between the Huskers and Terrapins. DAY 5 | FLY HOME (B) It’s time to fly home after a trip to see history and hopefully you made some of your own memories. Keep Allied Tours in mind for future Husker road trips! HOW TO MAKE A RESERVATION: When you have selected the tour of your choice: Call the Allied Tour office at 800-672-1009 to check on availability and to make your reservation, or you may make your reservation online at AlliedTT.com. If space is available, the appropriate tour deposit is required within 7 days after making your reservation. Reservations are not confirmed until Allied receives your deposit. All deposits are “per person.” You will be sent a confirmation of your deposit once your payment is received by Allied Tour. Tour rates are effective as of March 1, 2019 and subject to change due to fluctuation in energy rates. Our best effort has been made to publish this information as accurately as possible. The right is reserved to adjust rates as deemed necessary by fuel price conditions. GAME TICKETS & POLICY: FOOTBALL TICKETS - Tickets are ordered from the University of Nebraska and are requested in the Nebraska section. In the event Nebraska does not fulfill our request, tickets are obtained from the home team or ticket agencies and could be located in any part of the stadium, including upper end zones. Tickets will be in pairs or possibly small groups of four, but the entire group will not be sitting in one block of seats. If you secured your own tickets a deduction will be made to your trip cost. (Notification must be made to Allied Tour and Travel by July 3, 2019). Game ticket rates are subject to change until purchased. If rates were to increase to over what is included in the cost of the tour a small surcharge may be assessed. BASEBALL TICKETS & POLICY - Game ticket prices are subject to change until purchased by Allied. If rates were to increase over what has been budgeted in the cost of the tour, a small surcharge would be assessed. In the event of extra-inning games or game delays, we will stay as long as possible at the game. However, federal law requires motorcoach drivers to have 9 hours off after a day’s work. This may require the motorcoach to leave the game before its completion to fulfill this law. In this event, passengers can return to the hotel with the motorcoach or stay at the game and take a taxi at your own expense to the hotel. FINAL PAYMENT: You may remit by personal check, VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. TRAVEL RESPONSIBILITY: Allied Tours, Inc, (AT) acts only as agents for suppliers. AT is not responsible for acts or omissions of the suppliers or their failure to provide services or adhere to their own schedules and assumes no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity, and can accept no liability for losses or personal injury or property damage, or additional expenses due to delay or changes in bus or other services, sickness, weather, strikes, war, quarantine, terrorism or other causes. Rates are subject to change therein at or before the time of departure. No revisions of tours are anticipated; however, the right is reserved to make any changes, with or without notice, that might become necessary with the mutual understanding that any additional expenses will be paid by the individual passenger. Baggage is at the owner’s risk throughout the tour. The right is reserved to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of these tours at any time. The usual contract in use by the airlines and other suppliers when issued shall constitute the sole contract of the purchaser of the tour and/or the passenger. AT has no special knowledge regarding the financial condition of the suppliers or unsafe conditions at locations of travel. Passengers hereby release AT from all claims arising out of any problem covered in these sentences and agree that the courts in Madison Co., NE will be the exclusive jurisdiction for all claims brought by you or AT. Application for reservation on this tour indicates full acceptance of the foregoing conditions. TRAVELER CONDUCT & SPECIAL NEEDS: Tours are fun, but the enjoyment of the tour is based on everyone being friendly and cooperative. Allied reserves the right to accept or decline any passenger on any tour if Allied Tour determines a passenger would be detrimental to the tour. Once a tour departs, any passenger disruptive to the group may be asked to leave the tour. Expenses to return home would be the responsibility of the passenger. No refunds will be issued for unused portions of the tour. Please notify us of any special needs at the time of reservation. We will make all reasonable efforts to assist with your travel arrangements. However, it is strongly recommended that a traveling companion come along to help with any special needs of anyone with a disability. Allied’s tour directors have responsibilities for the entire group and can’t provide one-on-one care. This includes boarding of motor coaches, airplanes, cruise ships, etc. and traversing hotels, restaurants, attractions, or other personal needs, etc. Contact Allied if you have any questions.
