not appeal to me. I became a
Christian at the age of twelve
and by the time I was fourteen
I wanted to be a missionary.
I learned that I had to have a
certain profession that would
help people in other countries,
and I felt drawn to the nursing
field.
After acquiring my nursing
diploma, the Lord closed the
doors to an overseas missions
field and drew me into the
marriage and motherhood
mission field, and my mission
field became more local as
opposed to overseas.

What lessons did
He taught me to trust Him even
though I couldn’t see the end;
that there is joy in serving Him
no matter what He gives me to
do; and to be grateful to Him for
making me a part of His purpose
and plans.

What advice
would you give to
someone looking for
?
their purpose?
Seek God’s wisdom in prayer,
trusting Him that He will make
it clear. Then pursue the things
you feel passionate about and
interested in as part of your
future profession.
Be alert and receptive to changed
directions or closed doors outside
of your control.
Be ready and receptive to making
adjustments to your plans
according to God’s redirections.
Be thankful and always full of
praise to the Saviour, Who has
your best interest in mind as well
as His glory through what you
end up doing.

Be encouraged and rejoice that
God’s ways are not always our
ways, but His plans are always
higher and according to His will.
We can feel confident and
trustworthy of His new direction
The reason for and satisfaction of
a job, activity, or pursuit.
