important to view students as an asset,<br />
learn about their own biases and what<br />
contributes to them, and learn how to<br />
implement more productive practices<br />
while working with culturally and<br />
linguistically diverse students.<br />
Presenter: Dr. James Cohen is an experienced<br />
Associate Professor of ESL/Bilingual Education in<br />
the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at<br />
Northern Illinois University. Box lunch is available<br />

will be automatically renewed two days<br />
before they are due. These renewals will<br />
be noted on the courtesy notices sent<br />
via email. You can also log into your<br />
account to check for due date changes.<br />
Items will not be automatically renewed if there are<br />
holds or any other renewal blocks.<br />

We accept new and used books and<br />
audiovisual materials at the Donation<br />
Drop Box that is conveniently located<br />
on the North side of the Main Library<br />
building. If you have any items to<br />
donate, please drop them off! Items will<br />
be used to enhance library collections<br />
or sold in Gail’s Sales to help fund<br />
exhibits and reading initiatives for the<br />
community.<br />
As a correction to a misprint in our last<br />
newsletter, we wanted to thank Annual<br />
Book Sale Co-Chairs Laura Zook and<br />
Janet Pritza for the Foundation’s Book<br />
