VINICUNCA AMONG
THE MOST VISITED
SITES IN PERU
The Mountain of Seven Colours, or Vinicunca, has
quickly become one of the most famous destinations
in our country, according to Cusco’s regional governor,
Edwin Licona. The unique natural attraction is the
second-most visited place in Peru after Machu Picchu.
Between 1,000 and 1,500 people visit Vinicunca on
a daily basis, depending on the season, and it is
expected that the site’s popularity continues to grow
thanks to the ongoing promotion. The mountain’s
beauty speaks for itself.
The vast varieties of birds that inhabit our country have
earned Peru recognition as the “Best Birdwatching
Destination in the World” in the Infinity Discovery 2018
Gala held in Shanghai, China. The contestants were
evaluated by a jury made up of travellers, professional
photographers, and experts in wildlife conservation.
Infinity Discovery is an agency that specialises in naturebased
travel, and – with its award ceremony – looks to
promote these types of experiences.
