Tips for Beating the Winter Blues…
Christmas is over, the tree is down
and packed away and everywhere
looks that bit gloomier without the
festive lights and decorations.
So here are a few tips to beat the winter blues:
Eat Healthily…
We can have a tendency to carb crave during the
winter months, so make you sure you stock up on
fruit and vegetables. A good balanced healthy
diet will help keep your energy levels up and
boost your mood.
Plan Ahead…
With Christmas well and truly over, it can seem
like there is nothing to look forward to, which
can make you feel a bit down in the dumps, so
plan ahead. Maybe book your summer holiday,
organise a catch up with friends or a family
day out….do something you enjoy and can look
forward to.
Socialise…
It’s been shown that socialising with friends and
family is good for mental health. So, get out
there and socialise socialise socialise…help beat
those winter blues. One great way of doing this is
getting together for Sunday lunch out, especially
as there is no washing up to do! Win Win!
Try Something New…
You are more likely to get out the house and
socialise if you have somewhere to be, especially
if it’s dark and miserable outside. So what
have you always wanted to do or try? Painting,
sketching…dancing? The possibilities are endless.
Get out there and do something different.
Still Feeling Low?…
If you still feel low and not quite yourself,
Cognitive Hypnotherapy could help you feel
more like you again. So get in touch, I offer a
free telephone consultation to see how I can
help you.
