WELCOME TO THE SPRING SUMMER 2019 SEASON AT
THE BRIDGE HOUSE THEATRE AND WARWICK HALL
Welcome to the Spring Summer 2019 Season at
the Bridge House Theatre and Warwick Hall
Thanks to everyone who has supported any of the
performances in recent months. We all hope you are
enjoying the extra comfort of the new seating in the
Bridge House Theatre alongside the ever developing
range and quality of the programme. Do let us know
what you think using all those lovely social media
channels, or even pop in for a tech-free chat!
2019 will continue to see us bringing the best in
contemporary theatre and music as well as School and
community productions and events.
blockbuster Police Cops…In Space, which is
an 80’s ‘low-fi sci-fi’ set in the most dangerous
place on Earth…Space. With their tongues
always in their cheeks expect every buddy,
cop and science fiction film and TV franchise
to be parodied by these impressively chested
fellows. Make sure you see these guys before
they become too big for us.
AniMalcolm is a wonderfully vibrant,
energetic and gloriously funny musical from
the award-winning Story Pocket Theatre.
The songs, staging and performances are
a perfect family Spring treat that bring this
popular David Baddiel story to life
We won’t spoil the end of the Hampstead
Murder Mystery (our second production
by local playwright Tim Norton), featuring
our middle school students in a parody of
Agatha Christie’s 30s crime dramas. Expect a
fast-moving, slick production as the play has
more than 150 characters!
As part of our Beacon series this year we kick off with
our first visit from the innovative and up-and-coming
Haste theatre. Where the Hell is Bernard? will give us
a chance to explore a dystopian futuristic world through
dance, music and physical theatre.
From newcomers to established visitors we are delighted
to welcome back the award winners Police Cops,
who continue to take Edinburgh by storm with their
The King’s High Dance evening in February
promises a brilliant night showcasing
the breadth of dance styles taught in the
foundation. You’ll also see some classic
theatre this season. King’s High bring us the
delightful Bugsy Malone and new drama
teacher Miss Ray makes her BHT directorial
debut with the timeless classic The Wind
in the Willows featuring our lower school
students in June.
The hugely popular Jazz at the Bridge
returns again and the season has
an ever developing programme of
wonderful music events for everyone
to enjoy, celebrating the best in young
musicianship across the foundations. Do
keep an in contact for further details and
other music events.
