In 2018, Abdifatah gained his Master of Project Planning and Management from Hargeisa University and in<br />

2011 he gained his B.Sc. of Chemical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, Egypt.<br />

He adopted several initiatives that changed the work culture at institutions he has worked with in both<br />

public and private sectors. In addition, Abdifatah, together with other friends, is a youth and social activist<br />

focused on social change through the establishment of reading groups and public libraries such as the<br />

Maan-godol show and the Maan-godol public library.<br />

Marrying poetic symbolism with socio-political critique, Mustafa Saeed (b. 1989, Somaliland) explores<br />

issues of war and conflict. A self-taught graphic designer and photographer, Saeed has spent the past<br />

seven years experimenting with digital manipulation, creating vibrant silhouettes which draw on the vivid<br />

palette of his home country. Rich textiles used in traditional costumes, garish home decor and neon advertisements<br />

are juxtaposed against grey, concrete landscapes. I<br />

n 2014, he participated in the Addis Foto Fest, in Ethiopia, where he exhibited the series Home in Me. This<br />

project portrayed the transition he underwent upon leaving Saudi Arabia at the age of thirteen to return<br />

to Somaliland.
