Van Dempsey and Sam<br />
Satterfield met in 1989<br />
when both men were<br />
working at Strauther-Harris<br />
Jewelers. A lasting friendship was<br />
forged and 11 years later in April<br />
of 2000, Satterfield and Dempsey<br />
Jewelers was established in a<br />
900-square-foot space showroom<br />
in the Galleria Pointe Shopping<br />
Plaza. Notably accomplished<br />
professionals, both Satterfield and<br />
Dempsey received their diamond<br />
certificates from the Gemological<br />
Institute of America and Dempsey<br />
went on to become a graduate<br />
gemologist. Together the business<br />
partners share over 40 years of<br />
experience in the jewelry business.<br />
Sam Satterfield is<br />
greatly involved in the Middle<br />
Georgia community, serving<br />
as the past President of the<br />
International City Optimist Club<br />
and Chairperson of the Middle<br />
Georgia Technical College<br />
Foundation. A member of the<br />
New York Diamond Dealers Club,<br />
Satterfield and Dempsey Jewelers<br />
specializes in loose diamonds for<br />
engagement rings and offers an<br />
on-site jeweler to set diamonds<br />
and repair damaged jewelry. They<br />
now have a new state of the art<br />
laser welder and can accommodate<br />
repairing jewelry and eyewear.<br />
Satterfield and Dempsey Jewelers<br />
offers a tremendous variety<br />
of stunning jewels, including<br />
mountings from famous designers<br />
such as Venetti, Allison-Kaufman,<br />
Jabel and S. Kaski. They also carry<br />
