Cossart Design is a full-scale, interior design business that serves
commercial and residential clients, providing custom furniture and
window treatments and assisting with selecting paint, cabinet colors,
and countertops.
The business, established in 2004, expanded into retail to offer gift
items and interior accessories, including furniture, art, lamps, jewelry,
and unique gifts.
Owner Trish Cossart said she “strives always to consider the client’s
expectations when developing a design scheme. We try whenever
possible to use items in the home that are memorable to the client.”
The Houston Home Journal is Houston County’s most trusted news
source.
“Whether it be local news, the meeting of a local club, publicizing
an event that offers benefits to all in the county, birthdays, weddings,
graduations, or advertising for local businesses – if it’s tied to getting
the word out or keeping the community informed, we provide the
information,” owner Bob Tribble said.
The newspaper, established in 1870, is the only one of its kind in
Perry and is the community’s legal organ. It is published twice a week,
on Wednesday and Saturday.
“We are also a place the community can turn to to have a voice (i.e.
letters to the editor/editorials) in the community,” Tribble said.
said.
Gottwals Books strives to provide a great selection of books at fair
on used books, and cash payment for college textbooks.
The store features an assortment of subjects and genres, including
adult and youth fiction, biographies, history, study preps, homeschool,
travel, self-help, local authors, audiobooks, and more.
“Perry is a place we should be very proud of,” owner Joy Colwell said.
“The merchants work really hard to make it a great place to visit and a
place to purchase all of your gifts without having to travel.”
Colwell said she started her business, which specializes in items
that can be personalized, out of her home in 1992 and has been in
her current location since 2010. Monogramming and personalization
service is included in pricing, and the staff strives to give customers
excellent service.
“I love being downtown,” she said. “We love seeing our customers and
enjoy meeting new ones.”
