<strong>Fort</strong> <strong>Meade</strong> Contributors<br />

Mary L. Doyle - Principle Writer and Editor - has<br />

served in the U.S. Army at home and abroad for more<br />

than three decades as both a soldier and civilian. Mary<br />

is the author of "I’m Still Standing; From Captive U.S.<br />

Soldier to Free Citizen – My Journey Home" (Touchstone,<br />

2010) which was nominated for an NAACP Image award.<br />

Her mystery, "<strong>The</strong> Peacekeeper’s Photograph," won the<br />

Bronze Medal in the Independent Publisher Awards and<br />

won <strong>The</strong> Rebecca Reads Choice Award. <strong>The</strong> books, "<strong>The</strong><br />

Sapper’s Plot," and "<strong>The</strong> General’s Ambition," round out<br />

the indie published Master Sgt. Harper mystery series. She<br />

has also penned, "<strong>The</strong> Bonding Spell," the first book in<br />

an urban fantasy series, an adult romance series, is the<br />

co-author of the memoir, "A Promise Fulfilled" (Cleckley<br />

Enterprises, 2013) and has authored multiple novellas and<br />

short stories which appear in a variety of publications.<br />

Mary currently works as the Chief of Media Relations<br />

in the <strong>Fort</strong> <strong>George</strong> G. <strong>Meade</strong> Public Affairs office and<br />

served as principle editor for this project.<br />

Sherry Kuiper - Writer and Editor - came to <strong>Fort</strong><br />

<strong>George</strong> G. <strong>Meade</strong> as a media relations specialist after<br />

spending 12 years working as a TV news producer.<br />

Kuiper earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications<br />

from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2004 and<br />

earned her master’s degree from Syracuse University’s S.I.<br />

Newhouse School of Public Communications. Kuiper<br />

is the author of “Images of America: Around Picture<br />

Rocks,” a history of her hometown, Picture Rocks,<br />

Pennsylvania. She has been recognized for volunteering<br />

as a Docent at the National Infantry Museum in <strong>Fort</strong><br />

Benning, Georgia. Kuiper prides herself in being a<br />

member of the Ann Arundel Chapter of the Daughters<br />

of the American Revolution which focuses on historical<br />

preservation, education and patriotism.
