Dear Rusty,
Thank you for providing service to The Northern Colorado Coop for the 08-09 school
year. The Coop would like to extend the contract with Andrews through the 2009-2010
school year. The contract would begin July 1, 2009 and end on June 30, 2010. The
current terms and conditions will carry over into the next contract period.
As we have already discussed, districts from the Centennial BOCES group will be
joining The Northern Colorado Coop. As of the date shown above, Weld RE-1(Gilcrest),
Weld RE3J (Keenesburg) and Weld RE-7(Platttevalley) have said they will be
participating in the 2009-2010 contract period. I have estimates from Gilcrest and
Keenesburg. I’m waiting to receive numbers from Plattevalley. Generally speaking, these
districts will be purchasing existing items off of the current product list. There may be a
few items added.
With the changes that are occurring in Boulder, it is unclear at this time whether they will
be in the Coop or not for next year. Once we know for sure, you will be notified.
Paper items will not be part of the RFP for next year. We will be doing an Invitation to
Bid for those items with award being made to one vendor. Andrews will be included with
this bid.
Would it be possible for you to review our purchase history and use that information to
determine pricing for the next contract period? Could we have July 1, 2009 pricing by
May 1, 2009? As previously discussed, two tiered pricing will need to be implemented,
one for warehouse deliveries and one for direct delivery to schools. I hope that that will
still be possible.
The Northern Colorado Coop has been happy with Andrews this year. The monthly
meetings have been valuable and we appreciate you and David Pytlinski attending these
meetings. We also appreciate the efforts of everyone else at Andrews in making this a
successful partnership.
Please let me know what else you need from us and we’re looking forward to another
successful year!
