interchangeable outfits. She’s a friend for life at Let’s Get Crafting HQ,<br />

and we’re sure she’ll be the same for a little’un that you know. Many<br />

parts of this pattern are worked without joining in continuous rounds, so<br />

be sure to place a stitch marker in the top of the first stitch to clearly<br />

show the start of the round.<br />

HAIR TALK<br />

The hair is created by slip<br />

stitching lengths of yarn together;<br />

the sl st acts as the parting.<br />

Here’s how to do it:<br />

E Measure the length of the doll’s<br />

parting from the front of the<br />

hairline to the back of the head<br />

E Wind Peach Bellini around a<br />

book with a width no bigger than<br />

15cm; you need four or five<br />

strands for each sl st<br />

E Sl st evenly around five<br />

strands at a time<br />

E Cut the yarn off the book in the<br />

centre, opposite the stitched<br />

parting, to create two lengths of<br />

hair that can be tied into pigtails<br />

E Pin the parting seam to the<br />

doll’s head in the desired position,<br />

then sew into place with Peach<br />

Bellini yarn<br />

E Arrange where you would like<br />

the pigtails to go and secure with<br />

a small amount of Peach Bellini.<br />

Tie a Hibiscus Pink bow on<br />

each pigtail<br />

E Trim the pigtails to neaten<br />

if necessary<br />
