To make up
Sew Feet to underside of
animal, seeing photo for
colours and inserting sts
through both layers of Feet
to flatten them. Chick:
oversew flat edges of Beaks
tog. Sew to centre of Citron
Body just under eyes. Cut
six 6cm lengths of Calypso.
* Fold one length in half
and insert hook in between
sts at top of head, pull up a
loop and feed ends through
loop and pull tight to form
tassel. Rep with rem five
strands, making one tassel in
each st at top of head *.
Bear: sew two corners of
Ear tog with a st, then sew
Ears to top of head, four
rnds apart. Use back st to
“Improvise and make a three-eyed monster based on the
frog pattern or use the bluebird’s beak design to form a set
of spines for a dinosaur. Mix and match all the separate
elements to make up your own crazy creatures!”

Cheat’s guide: to stuffing
Use tweezers to stuff the frog’s eyes
through the small six stitch gap.
Tweezers also make it easy to top up
your round animals with wadding after
you’ve crocheted the final round if you
feel they need to be a bit firmer.
