financial demands. In addition, he has
established a scholarship in honor of his
late wife, Barbara Joan, and his first son,
Wayne II, for students pursuing a career in
teaching children with special needs. Barbara
was an active advocate for the disabled and
this family commitment in assisting the
disability community has continued through
the work of Wayne’s daughter, Sharon, who
has taught children with special needs for
the past twenty-seven years.
Wayne also encourages young adults,
currently enrolled in engineering programs
at the University of Tulsa, to intern with
R & R Engineering and has successfully
employed several of the school’s graduates
at his company. Believing in second chances,
the business likewise offers opportunities to
those individuals recovering from alcohol and
recreational drug use through participation in
Oklahoma’s Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation
Program (DARP).
Although R & R’s reach has expanded
throughout the world, the company is proud
to still be located in Tulsa County, at its
original location on Sixty-First Street. Wayne

applications and is recognized as a respected
