Bio-Cide International, Inc., is a manufacturer
and worldwide seller of antimicrobial
and biocidal products based on proprietary
chlorine dioxide technology. Their mission is

Originally founded in 1972 by Bob Danner,
Bio-Cide International is the leading
manufacturer of antimicrobials that are based
on a molecule called chlorine dioxide. These
products are considered state-of-the-art newer
generation products and provide a higher level
of effectiveness with a lower toxicity profile.
The products are environmentally friendly.
Once applied and the desired outcome is
obtained, the ingredients break down simply
into innocuous table salt. The applications
range from treatment of food, to being a part
of ophthalmic formulations. One of the
biggest pharmaceutical companies, Allergan,
uses Bio-Cide International products as an
important component of their formulations.
Bio-Cide International’s flagship brands
Oxine ® and Keeper ® are used for the treatment
of food, which includes red meat, poultry,
seafood and a variety of fruits and vegetables.
The company also has an advanced laboratory
that employs scientists of varied background,
including chemists and microbiologists.
For over thirty-five years, Bio-Cide
International has manufactured Oxine and
Purogene, proven safe disinfectants effective on
a broad spectrum of microorganisms. Located
in Norman, Oklahoma, they continue to manufacture
a versatile line of chemical disinfectants,
sanitizers, deodorizers and preservatives.
Bio-Cide’s products are based on the
company’s proprietary chlorine dioxide solution,
which is environmentally safe and effective
against a wide variety of microorganisms
in short contact times. The products have
been tested for quality, effectiveness and
toxicity. Bio-Cide has obtained government
approvals, licenses and registrations for each
product to assure its authenticity and safety.
The initial chlorine dioxide applications
were for water treatment, animal health
environments, household and agricultural
purposes. The success of these products
encouraged expansion into larger commercial
applications where product approvals
have been granted by the Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA), the Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) and the United States
Department of Agriculture (USDA).
