Throughout his career, Ike has always
believed that the two most important assets
for success are good people as employees and
an education. He was first appointed as an
Oklahoma State Regent by Governor Frank
Keating in 1997 and served in the role until
2006. He was reappointed to the post by
Governor Brad Henry in 2007 and will
serve until the nine year term ends in 2016.

Regent Glass has served as a member of
the boards of a variety of organizations in the
state, including the Oklahoma State Chamber of
Commerce, the Oklahoma Trucking Association,
the Oklahoma Heritage Association, the
Oklahoma State University National Alumni
Association, and RCB Bank and Trust. He has
also served as Chairman of the Oklahoma
Transportation Center, a joint venture between
the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State
University that unites business, research and
education on transport problems in Oklahoma
and throughout the nation.
He is a member of the Oklahoma Hall of
Fame, Oklahoma State University’s Business
Hall of Fame in 1998, and the Newkirk High
School Hall of Fame.
Regent Glass is active in many civic and
community organizations including the
American Legion, Navy Leagues, Veterans
of Foreign Wars, and Cowboys for Higher
Education. Today, Glass Trucking continues
its nearly 80 year existence in Oklahoma
with $8.5 million in annual revenues, 70
employees, and more than 60 tractor trailer
units delivering a variety of goods throughout
Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri,
Louisiana and Nebraska.
Ike and his wife Marybeth have two
children, Rob Glass and Jennifer Johnson,
two grandsons, Garrison and Jared, and one
granddaughter, Ashley.
