<strong>Through</strong>out his career, Ike has always<br />
believed that the two most important assets<br />
for success are good people as employees and<br />
an education. He was first appointed as an<br />
<strong>Oklahoma</strong> State Regent by Governor Frank<br />
Keating in 1997 and served in the role until<br />
2006. He was reappointed to the post by<br />
Governor Brad Henry in 2007 and will<br />
serve until the nine year term ends in 2016.<br />

Regent Glass has served as a member of<br />
the boards of a variety of organizations in the<br />
state, including the <strong>Oklahoma</strong> State Chamber of<br />
Commerce, the <strong>Oklahoma</strong> Trucking Association,<br />
the <strong>Oklahoma</strong> <strong>Her</strong>itage Association, the<br />
<strong>Oklahoma</strong> State University National Alumni<br />
Association, and RCB Bank and Trust. He has<br />
also served as Chairman of the <strong>Oklahoma</strong><br />
Transportation Center, a joint venture between<br />
the University of <strong>Oklahoma</strong> and <strong>Oklahoma</strong> State<br />
University that unites business, research and<br />
education on transport problems in <strong>Oklahoma</strong><br />
and throughout the nation.<br />
He is a member of the <strong>Oklahoma</strong> Hall of<br />
Fame, <strong>Oklahoma</strong> State University’s Business<br />
Hall of Fame in 1998, and the Newkirk High<br />
School Hall of Fame.<br />
Regent Glass is active in many civic and<br />
community organizations including the<br />
American Legion, Navy Leagues, Veterans<br />
of Foreign Wars, and Cowboys for Higher<br />
Education. Today, Glass Trucking continues<br />
its nearly 80 year existence in <strong>Oklahoma</strong><br />
with $8.5 million in annual revenues, 70<br />
employees, and more than 60 tractor trailer<br />
units delivering a variety of goods throughout<br />
<strong>Oklahoma</strong>, Kansas, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri,<br />
Louisiana and Nebraska.<br />
Ike and his wife Marybeth have two<br />
children, Rob Glass and Jennifer Johnson,<br />
two grandsons, Garrison and Jared, and one<br />
granddaughter, Ashley.<br />
