In 1989 the operations for ChappelWood
began in a spare bedroom in Woods’ home.
The goals were to grow strategically and
build a CFS permanent location. The 1995
bombing in Oklahoma City changed the firm’s
course to converting a bank building, which
changed again with the addition of a new
Lowe’s and Target in Edmond. These events
created the opportunity to envision and found
the Financial District of Oklahoma.
Both Woods and the company have earned
numerous honors and awards throughout the
years. ChappelWood and Woods have contributed
actively to community and charitable
causes including “Tomorrow’s Edmond,”
the 1995 White House Conference on Small
Business, and served as chairperson for the
American Heart Association.
