The Downstream Casino is Northeast<br />

<strong>Oklahoma</strong>’s only Las Vegas style destination<br />

resort and is located on the historic Tri-State<br />

corner where the <strong>Oklahoma</strong>, Missouri and<br />

Kansas state lines intersect, just off I-44.<br />

The resort is owned and operated by the<br />

Downstream Development Authority on<br />

behalf of the Quapaw Tribe. After opening on<br />

July 5, 2008, the resort has added an additional<br />

$60 million in development expansion.<br />

The casino features a 75,000 square foot gaming<br />

floor with a state-of-the-art ventilation/air<br />

filtration system, thereby providing a virtually<br />

smoke-free environment. There are 2,000 electronic<br />

gaming machines, 36 live table games,<br />

and a 14 table, state-of-the-art Poker Room.<br />

The lobby includes a large metal sculpture in<br />

the shape of a pottery vessel, historical tribal<br />

photographs, and a bronze laser reproduction<br />

of artist Charles Banks Wilson’s artwork entitled,<br />

Quapaw Man. Wilson married a Quapaw<br />

woman, and painted several portraits of the<br />

last pureblood men and women of the Tribe.<br />

The property also includes a hotel with a<br />

12 story tower featuring 222 upscale rooms,<br />

15 luxury one and two-bedroom units, and<br />

a penthouse level VIP lounge. There is an<br />

outdoor pool with bar, cabanas, hot tub, and a<br />

twenty-four hour fitness center. Another tower<br />

with 152 upscale rooms offers the Nee Spa<br />

with five treatments rooms, salon, sauna, steam<br />

rooms and whirlpools. Other upscale amenities<br />

include valet parking and Wi-Fi connection.<br />

Fine dining is available at the Red Oak<br />

Steakhouse featuring steaks and seafood, and<br />

the Spring River Buffet features an upscale<br />

international buffet with display cooking<br />

stations. The Buffalo Grille offers casual dining<br />

and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and<br />

the “Wa-Na-Bee-Dea,” meaning “come eat” in<br />

the Quapaw language, is a twenty-four hour<br />

food court and snack bar. Also onsite is the<br />

“Ma-Ko-Sha” coffee shop and bakery, Legends<br />

Sports Bar, Lover’s Leap hotel lobby bar and<br />

lounge, and Devils Promenade, an upscale bar<br />

and lounge at the center of the casino floor.<br />

Conference and meeting facilities include<br />

the Downstream Pavilion with a 1,000 person<br />

capacity multipurpose events center. Six<br />

banquet rooms are available with a total<br />

capacity of 400 people. For entertainment,<br />

the Legends Sports Bar Stage hosts live music<br />

on weekends and The Venue at Downstream<br />

offers an outdoor concert facility with a<br />

capacity of 6,000 people. For those interested<br />

in playing a round of golf, the Eagle Creek<br />

Golf Club offers a pristine 18-hole championship<br />

course with club house and restaurant.<br />
