Overall, this coffee table book is about introducing Malaysia batik to the readers and to let the readers explore the wonder and the uniqueness of batik in Malaysia. It is more towards the historical part as the author trying to show the roots and origin of the batik, how batik is being brought into our country and the influences of the batik culture in local when there is a cultural merging between the two regional neighbors, Indonesia and Malaysia. The readers will also get to know the types of batik in Malaysia and understand the traditional batik techniques. What will happen when the tradition meets the future? Find out more in my coffee table book.

studies have shown that this "batiking" technique has<br />

already existed in ancient egypt in the 4th century bc.<br />

where people use them to wrap the mummies.<br />

in asia, it was practiced in china during the tang<br />

dynasty, where the chinese artists decorated the silk<br />

batiks with mountains and hunting scenes. same goes to<br />

india and japan during the nara periods, and in africa.
