LCAA Fall Conference
The Louisiana City Attorneys Association conducted
its 2018 fall education conference on September 21-
22, at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Baton Rouge. City
attorneys and municipal representatives attended the
two-day training where Russell J. Cremaldi, counsel
for the City of Patterson, was confirmed as the 2018-
19 LCAA President. LCAA members also elected other
officers on Saturday for the 2018-19 term: Numa
Metoyer, III, Town of Colfax, Vice-President; Ruby
Freeman, Town of Boyce, Secretary/Treasurer; Phil
Canova, City of Plaquemine, City Representative; Roy
K. Burns, Village of Folsom, Village Representative; and
Wilbur Reynaud, Town of Lutcher, Town Representative.
Congratulations to each of these municipal attorneys
for the leadership that they provide for LCAA
members.
Conference workshops included presentations on
public bid law and legislative updates, the Wayfair v
South Dakota decision, the LA Code of Governmental
Ethics, professionalism, legal ethics, and recent
President-elect Russell Cremaldi presents a plaque to outgoing president
Maurice Trippi.
