Coul House Hotel

The ancient Mackenzies of Coul picked a wonderful location for this 

classic country house hotel! Originally built in 1821 for Sir George 

Mackenzie as a traditional hunting lodge, the views over Strathconon 

Valley are stunning. Inside, the hotel has beautiful fireplaces, ornate 

ceilings and plasterwork and the signs of great craftsmanship can be 

seen throughout. 

Centrally located in the Northern Highlands of Scotland, Coul House 

Hotel is popular with returning guests who request their favourite

Tucking Mill Cottages combine the peace 

and tranquillity of a Somerset setting with 

the convenience of the city of Bath being 

just ten minutes away. The three luxury 

self-catering cottages have free on-site 

parking, free WiFi and all the amenities 

required for a comfortable stay; fully equipped 

kitchen including a washing machine and dish

Banksy, Brunel and Berkeley Castle; just three reasons why a stay in Bristol should be on

with the Banksy Walking Tour. Born in 

Bristol in 1974, the now world-famous 

artist began spray painting the streets of 

Bristol in the 1990s. Many of his works, 

which now sell for a small fortune, have 

been removed from the city but there’s 

still a whole day of discovering a Banksy 

in Bristol on the walking tour, which 

takes in iconic works like the Masked Gorilla 

and Well Hung Lover.

has made many an appearance on TV! 

Poldark, The Other Boleyn Girl and Father 

Ted are just a few of the TV favourites 

filmed on location at the stunning 

castle. Open from April through to 

October, visitors can see rare collections 

of furniture, tapestries, paintings and silver 

wear. Outside, lovely terraced gardens with 

rare plants and a stunning rose display, 

flower borders, a lily pond and Elizabeth I’s 

bowling green paint a picture garden 

enthusiasts will envy! 

For TV fans, a trip to BBC Bristol is a must! 

From script to screen, visitors discover just 

what it takes to get a programme to air, and 

may even end up reading the news!

Think of Bristol and it’s hard not to think 

about the iconic Clifton Suspension 

Bridge. Designed by Victorian engineer 

Isambard Kingdom Brunel for light horse 

drawn traffic, the bridge still meets the 

demands of today’s travel, with about 

12,000 vehicles crossing each day. With 

a visitors centre and Clifton Village and 

its eclectic mix of shops, cafes, dining 

experiences, picturesque passageways, 

gardens and secret hideaways, it’s a great 

day out attracting thousands of visitors 

each year. While there, make time for Racks 

Bar and Kitchen where you can enjoy a gin 

tasting master class which gives a great 

insight into the different botanicals!

lair and visit Treasure Island’s Spy Glass 

where press gangs once roamed!

to West End musicals and big touring

showcasing theatre, comedy, spoken 

word and dance, and Tobacco Factory 

Theatres and the Redgrave Theatre
