<strong>Boker</strong> Premium Selection once<br />
again set themselves apart from<br />
the highlights of this catalog. The<br />
elaborately worked handles, made<br />
from faux mother-of-pearl and faux<br />
tortoise shell, are milled from the full<br />
material in the <strong>Boker</strong> manufactory<br />
in Solingen, and look deceptively<br />
similar to the authentic natural<br />
materials. The nickel silver inlays<br />
further underline the elaborate<br />
production and refinement of the<br />
handles and blades.<br />
1 BOKER MOTHER OF PEARL<br />
Ground and polished shells of<br />
the pearl used to be a common<br />
currency, and have been used<br />
in the production of jewelry for<br />
ages. In contrast to the natural<br />
material, these imitation motherof-pearl<br />
handles are very robust,<br />
and harmonize beautifully with the<br />
partial gilding and the decoration<br />
of the blade backs. Delivered in<br />
