For the first time since the 1920's,
this reissue of the Edelweiss
straight razor is offered with a 6/8"
blade, as experienced users often
prefer greater blade widths than
4/8" and 5/8". In addition to the
greater width and weight, there
are purely functional reasons for
the use of a 6/8" blade, as it can
pick up and hold more foam during
the shave. The blade width also
emphasizes the beautiful historic
blade etching especially well.

This special edition catches the
eye not only with the Spanish
head, but also with the blade which
is partially adorned with 24-karat
gold. The back of the blade, and
the delicately worked details of the
historic blade etching were gilded,
bringing this piece to a whole
new level. The 5/8" blade made
from the best Solingen straight
razor steel (with superior edge
retention, non-stainless) carries
the traditional Spanish head and
is ground especially thin (until it
makes the right sound).
