SITE MAP
Lion (shown top left). Avebury is a lovely
place to visit and thankfully there isn't the
mania, queuing and hassle that you get
when you visit Stonehenge. You are also
able to bring your dog/s along to Avebury
for maximum enjoyment!
There are several museums on site to visit
and indeed, much to occupy your day, with
lunch available available on site, so no need
to get in the car.
From Exeter, Avebury is just over 100 miles
(A303/A30 route), so you can either day
visit, or possibly stay. Six miles down the
road is Marlborough, a classy little town
with a great mix of coffee shops, bistros
and shopping, making an ideal place to stop
over. Nigel Jones
