The air is cooling, but we're still on the move! 

Be sure to mark your calendars for a fun seasonal line-up of family friendly 

special events like Trunk or Treat and Santa's Workshop. Popular monthly 

activities will be running as well, such as Family Skate Night and A Toast to 

Art. Looking to stay active and fit? Go for a swim in Elko's heated indoor Pool 

or sign up for a few rounds of Pickleball. 

Weather permitting, we will see the Elko SnoBowl in full-swing this season, 

welcoming skiers and snowboarders of all ages and experience to enjoy 

some weekend fun on the slopes together.

PARK RESERVATIONS 

With ten parks in the City of Elko, we offer various locations to reserve 

for the perfect family gathering, corporate party, or special event. Park 

reservations can be made online at www.elkocity.com or in-person at 

723 Railroad Street, Elko. 

General Park Hours: 6:00-11:00 pm 

Park Reservation Fees: $50-$150 daily (Dependent upon location) 

PARK RESERVATION 

REQUIREMENTS & RULES 

AIR JUMPERS 

1. Reservations must be made at 

least 48 hours in advance. 

2. Fees must be paid in full when 

placing reservation. 

3. Cancellations must be made at 

least 5 days in advance. 

4. Reserving party will be 

responsible for any damages 

incurred during site use. 

5. No electricity or water is made 

available during park use. 

6. No glass containers are 

permitted on park grounds. 

7. No unauthorized vehicles are 

permitted on park grass. 

8. Keep noise at a respectful level. 

9. Pets must remain on a leash and 

pet waste disposed of. 

10. No camping is permitted unless 

pre-authorized by City Council. 

Air Jumpers are only permitted if 

the company selected has a City 

business license on file with the City 

of Elko. To inquire, please call 775- 

777-7138. 

Livestock of any kind are not 

permitted on park grounds. 

Notice: Park restrooms will be 

closed the months of November 

through April. Portables will be 

made available during this period.

PAL BASKETBALL 

The Police Athletic League (PAL) was founded nearly 20 years ago by Sgt. 

Fred Bradley, retired. The PAL basketball program provides a positive learning 

environment for children and youth. PAL is a nonprofit organization. Please contact

SPECIAL EVENTS 

TRUNK OR TREAT 

Come take a spooky walk through a maze of decorated trunks, stop by our photo 

booth, and play a carnival game or two. Once you’ve finished with Trunk or Treating, 

walk on over to the City Swimming Pool to enjoy the Pumpkin Bob event. 

Interested in entering your own trunk? Contact the Rec office. Participants must 

decorate their vehicle and should be well stocked with giveaways, promotional items, 

and LOTS of candy. We welcome all businesses, church groups, families, and other 

organizations to participate. Trunk judging will take place at 7:00 pm with awards 

given for Best Decorated Trunk and People’s Choice.

Take a plunge at the Elko Swimming Pool to find a great Halloween Pumpkin! Open 

swim is available after participants have found the perfect pumpkin. Outdoor and 

baby pools will be closed during this event.

PICTURES WITH SANTA - FESTIVAL OF TREES 

Bring your Christmas wish list and your best smiles to the Elko Convention Center's 

Festival of Trees! Take a seat with Jolly Old Saint Nick to tell him your wishes for 

Christmas morning and have your picture taken together too.

will be located inside the Western Folklife Center Ballroom at the DBA's Snowflake 

Festival.

JUNIOR SKI & BOARD LESSONS 

The SnoBowl Junior Ski & Snowboard Program consists of five two-hour lessons for 

ages 6-16. Lessons are for those with no experience as well as those that have some 

ski or board experience, but are looking for some new tips and techniques. The 

SnoBowl Ski & Snowboard Program specializes in making learning to ski or board 

a fun and safe experience, helping your child develop the skills required to enjoy a 

lifetime of winter fun on the slopes.
