The contract was originally awarded to Acrosstown Charter Transportation, who after three<br />
months no longer was able to meet the terms of the contract. In November 2013, the purchase<br />
was rescinded and awarded to Olson Transportation, Inc., the second lowest proposal submitted.<br />
Since that time, without a break in service, Olson Transportation has provided safe and positive<br />
service <strong>for</strong> athletic team transportation. For fiscal year <strong>2015</strong>, as provided in the RFP, the College<br />
renewed the existing contract with Olson Transportation.<br />
For fiscal year 2016, the Purchasing and Athletic departments issued a RFP <strong>for</strong> transportation<br />
Services in order to assure competitive pricing services. The RFP was sent to 27 (seven in<br />
district) and will be opened on June 2, <strong>2015</strong>. The RFP provides <strong>for</strong> transportation <strong>for</strong> Men’s and<br />
Women’s Soccer, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Women’s Volleyball, Men’s Baseball, Men’s<br />
Tennis, and Women’s Softball, <strong>for</strong> the estimated amount of $42,000. A final decision and<br />
pricing results will be brought to the June <strong>Board</strong> meeting.<br />
e) Computers and Monitors <strong>for</strong> FY <strong>2015</strong>-2016 - The <strong>2015</strong>-2016 capital equipment requests<br />
include 474 replacement computers. The College is using a mixed four/five-year computer<br />
replacement cycle so that key academic lab computers will be replaced on a four year cycle<br />
while academic lab computers with less stringent per<strong>for</strong>mance requirements and office systems<br />
will be replaced on a five year cycle. This purchase will replace 199 five year old (or older)<br />
computers and 275 four year old computers (almost all in academic computer labs or<br />
classrooms.)<br />
This purchase will also include 400 - 24” widescreen LCD monitors with the computers. Of<br />
these, 339 new monitors will go into computer labs, and 61 will go into offices to replace seven<br />
to ten year old 19” monitors.<br />
The College will be purchasing a total of 474 computers with the following specifications:<br />

The computer systems will have a three-year warranty. Delivery of the systems will occur<br />
throughout the months of July and August.<br />
