business entity and third party certified to
the strict quality program of ISO 9001/2008

Deval’s customer service-oriented team,
along with its engineering design and reverse
engineering capabilities, have made DeVal
stand out in the fleet as the optimum source
of support. From its very beginnings, DeVal
has had a consistent workforce core that
includes several employees with more than
thirty-five years’ service. Current employment
totals fifty-five. DeVal has always been a
Union Shop. Bob Goepel, one of the firm’s
original employees, retired last year at the age
of eighty-three.
DeVal Corporation currently operates from
a 40,000 square foot facility that includes
three buildings and storage yard at 7341 Tulip
Street in Philadelphia. Equipment in the
facility includes everything from vintage,
1940s era tool making equipment to the
very latest, state-of-the-art robotic welders
and computer controlled machining centers.
At this point the company can see involvement
into the future with continuous U.S.
defense work due to the unstable world
conditions. Also, DeVal will do more business
with foreign military customers such as
Kuwait, for which DeVal recently completed
a contract for SATS Weapons Loaders.
In addition to the U.S. Department of
Defense, domestic customers such as
Northrop Grumman Corporation, Lockheed
Martin, Boeing, Austral and Raytheon will still
be intensely supported by DeVal Corporation.
DeVal Corporation is sixty-two years old
and still maintains old-time customer support
and dedication, but it utilizes modern
communication methods and the advanced
computer controlled machining, welding and
quality assurance methods of the modern
world to fulfill the defense customers’ needs.
