coasts, in Hatboro, Pennsylvania, and Yuba
City, California, the company is equipped to

service engineers are available to address the
needs of customers worldwide. In 2014 the
Yuba City location became home to a new
manufacturing plant, making Kingsbury the
premiere repair and service facility on the

In 2012, Kingsbury opened a sales and
technical office in Göttingen, Germany. Two
years later an expansion provided for the
company’s first offshore manufacturing facility.

In addition to its core line of flooded
hydrodynamic bearings, Kingsbury offers
directed lubrication, fixed profile, rolling
element and specialty bearings, and bearing
systems. All are designed to enhance the
performance of equipment in hydroelectric
and power generation, oil and gas, marine,
motor and pump, process machinery,
rock crushing, mining, steel making, and
defense, among countless other applications
and industries.
In 2004, Kingsbury expanded its offerings
by acquiring Messinger Bearings Corporation,
also founded in 1912. Messinger was a specialty
manufacturer of large, heavy-load element
bearings, including ball bearing, radial roller
bearings, and thrust roller bearings. The
acquisition allowed Kingsbury’s expansion
into the pulp and paper, steel beverage, and
heavy construction markets while building
The advantages of a Kingsbury bearing have
not changed. Incredibly durable, the bearings
have an indefinite life because wedge-shaped
oil films keep bearing surfaces apart. The oil
films carry tremendous pressures, safely
carrying loads exceeding 2 million pounds.
Perfect lubrication allows for no limits on
speed, ranging from 3 to 30,000 r.p.m. No
metallic rubbing results in low friction with
coefficients of .001 to .005 inches in most
conditions. By keeping oil clean and cooled
there is no need for repairs, resulting in low
maintenance. And, the radial accessibility
provides easy access for routine inspection.
The stability and longevity of the Kingsbury
products have allowed for careers spanning
forty years with children and grandchildren
of employees joining the Kingsbury family.
