PERKS OF BEING A COUNTRY DOG...
Everyone says we are lucky to live in
East Anglia…
I have heard the expression ‘Suffolk skies’
used many times and listened to people share
experiences about their time on the Norfolk
broads. But, what are the perks for us furry
friends? Well, I will tell you, here are a few of my
favourite things to do in Norfolk and Suffolk.
My top things to do:
Visiting the beach…
Dogs are allowed on most of the Coast’s
beaches in Norfolk and Suffolk, however on
many of the most popular stretches, there are
restrictions over the summer months so best
to look out for signs that give exact dates for a
particular beach. A favourite beach of mine is
Dunwich, which is dog friendly all year round.
your 4-legged companion. Just up the coast near
Woodbridge is National Trust Sutton Hoo where
you can discover the story of the Anglo-Saxons
at the burial ground of kings. Slightly inland
and you will find Framlingham Castle. Steeped
in nearly 1000 years of history, there’s loads to
explore and dogs on leads are allowed in the
grounds, oh, and Ed Sheeran loves it there too!
Walks…
From golden country fields to riverside
footpaths, you are sure to find a walk or two
ahead, perhaps with the odd dog friendly
country pub to stop at along the way. This is by
far my favourite thing to do! Have fun exploring!

Boating on the broads…
We are allowed too! Get afloat with your best
friend; and enjoy a trip along the River Waveney
or Norfolk Broads taking in the beautiful
waterside scenery and looking out for some of
the region’s rare wildlife.
