Recruiting Hosts All Year Round...<br />
BLS English is recruiting local people to host international students<br />
who visit the town of Bury St Edmunds to study English.<br />

would enjoy the company of our international<br />
students and the cultural experience of hosting,<br />

Hundreds of students enrol for English courses<br />
at the school each year - boosting local tourism<br />
and economy - with the majority accommodated<br />
by local Hosts. The school offers some residential<br />
accommodation, but about 95 per cent of<br />
students choose to stay with local people.<br />
Students travel to BLS English from all over the<br />
world, from as far as Asia, South America and the<br />
Middle East. There are lots of benefits to being<br />
a host, both social and cultural, and you will also<br />
earn money, most of which is tax-free with the<br />
government’s rent a room scheme.<br />
Hosts don’t need to speak other languages, as it’s<br />
an immersive experience for our students, who<br />
come to improve their communication in English<br />
and learn about British culture. The best place to<br />
BLS English has been running for over 20 years<br />
now – it opened in 1995. The school has three<br />
centres in the town, the Junior and Residential<br />
Centre on Springfield Road, another junior centre<br />
on Angel Hill and the Adult Learner Centre and<br />
offices on Kings Road.<br />
BLS English is accredited by both the British<br />
Council and ‘Quality English’ and is re-inspected<br />
every four years; it is the only accredited English<br />
language school in the area.<br />
