80ies, people and persons in charge of the Munich
government changed their mind and created a specific
plan: The so called Isar-Plan. The goal: To return the Isar
into her natural face and renature the part which flows
through the city.The result is worthy of notice in the most
literal meaning of the word; the magic river paradise never
before shone in such a light. Delightfully full green
meadows, flattened riparian zones, vast cycle tracks,
hidden romantic places, public grill places alterate with
picnic idyll, bath zones and paddling zones - the fascinating
Isar is a living and experience space at the same
time. Here everything meets - from the baker up to the
banker, from the naked up to the inquisitive person. And
a prosecco bottle floating by at sun set can also be seen.
Do not surprise, the Isar serves in summer as a fridge
for the bathers stuff and becomes therefore the longest
bar of the world.
