This phonics package is designed to assist children in their first year of formal<br />
schooling. The package is suitable for use with small groups or can be adapted to<br />
whole-class activities. In preparation for formal learning, sections on auditory and<br />
visual discrimination have been included.<br />
Games sections, including bingo, snap, jigsaw cards, concentration and flashcards,<br />
reduce teacher preparation time while providing an enjoyable medium for revision.<br />
It is not suggested that teachers work through the package in the order presented<br />
but that they select appropriate activities to suit the needs of their class.<br />
It is suggested that on pages 9 -13 teachers lightly write in the words for the children<br />
to trace over.<br />
