Not so long ago, Joseph decided he needed
a new challenge in life as he was not enjoying
the day to day job he had. After consulting
with friends and family that told
him to do something he enjoyed and just
go for it, he went out to do something.
That something… photography.
​Joseph has always been creative and determined.
He set out the next day to find
a photographer to assist and learn from.
After working alongside several photographers
and spending many hours a day,
studying photography online and learning
new techniques, his creativity exploded
into life shooting concerts and gigs.
His hobby became more serious. Joseph
has become a music photographer, covering
major European festivals, concerts
and events, but is also an active portrait,
landscape and event photographer with work
ranging from hotel images for Booking.com
to snowboarding images for Nidecker.
Originally from the UK, but living in
Malmo (Sweden), Joseph now works as
an in house photographer for one of the
largest music venues in Denmark, Vega
Copenhagen (his work can be seen at
www.vega.dk/galleries) and contributor
of images to various photo agencies and
editorials around Europe and the US.
Joseph has been a strong campaigner of
all aspects of sustainability, including social
responsibility. This year, Joseph has taken
upon himself the challenge to raise
further awareness of the issues that face
us and will be working with several regional
and national editorials at festivals within
Nordic regions and beyond, to further this
understanding to a wider audience.
​His portfolio of work continues to grow
and there have been some crazy and
unexpected stories along the way that have
helped shape his career path and given
him some of the best experiences of his life.
His passion for music pushes him on to be
a better photographer every day and aims
to be the best in his field one day.
Joseph says, “It’s not about being better than
everyone else, it’s about enjoying photography
and inspiring other people through
your own pictures to hopefully make them
want to go out and try it for themselves.”
